Looking for a wash shampoo that leaves NO residue

I hate how after washing my car it's never slick anymore and doesn't bead as well due to the wash shampoo leaving residue on it. Every wash I've used has done it except Pinnacle, which is pretty expensive. After using Pinnacle, the paint still beaded great and was still very slick. Does Meguiar's NXT shampoo leave residue? Anyone have an idea when the new Poorboy's wash shampoo is coming out?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

What washes have you used? BMW carwash is superslick and I've never noticed any residue being left on it. 4 *'s Platinum Autowash Shampoo is another quality wash.

NXT wash leaves my car feeling the slickest followed by EO car wash. GC can be somewhat "grabby" if mixed too strong.

Are you sure that you are mixing it correctly?

I could be wrong here but I think if car washes were leaving something on, the beading would be better. To me it seems that most washes are a bit too strong (especially if not mixed properly) and take away some of the protective layer leading to diminished beading.

Just my opinion.

How about some Johnson Baby Shampoo I have been using it for the last 3 months not very sudsy but works GREAT try it 1oz per gal

New Again! Are you serious? I've never heard of this before? How long you been using Johnson's Baby Shampoo?

I just ran out of Gold Class this week, so I thought I would give something else a try.

Used NXT on my wifes car today with really good results. Plenty of suds and left the car pretty slick. First time I've used it and I would say I am definetly pleased with the results.

:cool

Black Magic is amazing on my red firebird. The water sheets off when you rinse, and it smells great. I HIGHLY recommend it.

1Z PERLS is the best shampoo that I've ever used but expensive ......$9.50 for 250 Mil
I also like NXT shampoo and a new product I tried and liked is STUFF shampoo like all of us im waiting for PB shampoo it should be out somewhere in OCTOBER

The PB prototypes were very good indeed. Another one I enjoy is the Adam's Polishes Wash. You can wash the car in the sun, let all the suds dry, and then spray the car off again and you won't have water spots. I like that, and it leaves the surface super smooth.

NXT Wash is my favorite over the counter, but I have problems with slickness lasting.

QEW still wins for cleaning and leaving no residue. I get great slickness after using QEW.

I'd like to try 1Z Perls, but probably not until next summer (no hose at college).

Thanks Sean, I was waiting to read your review since I know you use the NXT wash alot. I still have yet to try QEW...although I do have a gallon of Spray & Wipe and it is some amazing stuff, I still enjoy doing a regular wash every week or so. If I don't have luck with the Poorboy's wash (I don't see that happening, I can't think of one Poorboy's product that I haven't had luck with!), then I guess I'll just have to QD after each wash to get the results I desire. Quikshine time anyone? :D

PS - I only managed to get 2 layers of EX and 1 layer of Natty's on the car before I had to evacuate to New Jersey because of that damn hurricane...I'll be heading back once power is restored to my area which I don't see happening any time soon! PLUS we have another freakin hurricane coming next week :(

I told my parents that if this other one doesn't turn away or weaken, I'm gonna fly back and get my car :D :D

Matt: I S+W every 4 days here at college. No marring problems and slickness is like I just applied Natty's. This stuff is awesome!

So no pics for a while huh :( ?

Good Luck.

As soon as power gets back, I'll be on my way home...I plan on unbolting the garage door supports, uncapping my cutout and takin her for a spin (I have to get that out of my system, it's been awhile :D). Then I'll S&W, do another layer of Natty's, and probably another after that. I'll be heading down to Fort Lauderdale to my buddy's place since he's ordering Natty's and B&B from Autogeek...so I'm gonna pick the stuff up and bring it to him and we'll have a mini detail day, then take pics of our cars together down by the beach (modded 1997 Trans Am with a 383 solid roller and a custom pearl paint job). He recently got a PC with VM + EX-P so I'm gonna show him how to use everything. I hope this will happen soon because I really want to be home right now! :(
