Hi

I'm looking for a tire dressing for my motorhome which is safe for long term use and will protect my tires from the sun. A long lasting product would be nice if possible.

The tires are not cheap to replace and end up being replaced well before the tread wears out. I try to keep the tires covered when not in use but its not always possible to cover them.

Thanks

Ultima Tire and Trim guard is on the top of my list for long lasting products like that. A bit pricy initally but a little goes a long way and it last for months with just soap and water cleanings!

Long time user of BnB myself. For my eye, it provides good looks is not an attractor of dust, but could hardly classify it as long lasting nor could I confirm that it does anything in regards to UV protection.

i just used the Bold n' Bright and like it alot. hopefully it'll last awhile until the next wash. Next week? absolutely!!

I know someone who lives and travels the country in her 5th wheel. She swears by thin applications of petroleum jelly. I'm not sure of it's benefits but she isn't replacing tires till the tread wears out. Maybe some secret the RVr's know:).
Wouldn't hurt checking out one of those sites.

She may swear by petroleum jelly, but she will swear at it soon.

Petro jelly degrades rubber. Simple.

That's why they tell you not to use it with...............
(figure it out)

I knew about latex. I've never used it.
I should have said that.

Good point. Like I said I didn't know the benefits. She's an older lady who does her own thing. Older may not mean wiser in this case. Another reason I suggested checking it out on an RV specific site:)
Thanks Ron

Bet she has alot of kids :D

I like the Bold N Bright Gel over the original BnB. It didn't slick for me and lasted longer. As of now, my favorite is and still is the Optimum Opti-Bond. I haven't used anything quite as good as it. I've been hearing lots of good feedback about CarPro PERL diluted for use on tires, but have not had a chance to use it yet.

I own Opti-Bond and have used it twice. I'm not impressed. It's okay, but not impressive.

Ultima will be my next attempt at good looks and long lasting.

My vote would be for Tuf Shine

I put it on boat trailer tire sets.

Cheers,
GREG
