Oh, and in tribute to Scottwax, here is a reflection of my car:



That's my grandfather in the background; every time I am working on a car, he comes outside and starts to do something to his van. This time he was installing a clip on the center console to hold his cane so it doesn't fall between the seats while he is driving (like a mad man). He is also very good at pointing out spots that I missed. :)

I spent all day Sunday on my father's F150 (with a topper). It's six years old and had never been washed. (I'll get some pics up tonight)



I think it's great that your grandfather hangs out and "helps out". =

We spent about two hours Friday night washing, claying and compounding the hood. Saturday morning (9:00), I hit the hood with FI-II Machine Polish. I also clayed the rest of the car, put #7 and two coats of #26 on the hood. Rob got there around 10:00 and we went to work on the rest of the car. Total, we spent about 7 hours on the car. We probably could have finished faster, but I stopped around 11:00 to cook breakfast, and I did a little cleaning on the engine too. I would have taken a picture of the whole car, but I didn't get a chance to do the wheel wells, and the windows were still dirty. I did take care of the windows, but I couldn't find my wheel well brush. It did of course show up while I was putting everything away.
