(It just stormed here yesterday/last night so I didn't have a chance to get a pic before it got nasty but this is how the outside of the truck looks)

Looks good man. I think we need more of the "Brag" from click and brag though.

Post your process to paint, polish, etc. You are definitely talented with a spray gun. :2thumbs:

Love the truck, but I hate hate the title of your post. Just post up what your vehicle is, leave those stars at home.

Wanna come re-paint my truck? :)

You will have to see my interior pics when I get it all together. I've got some new leather Katzkin covers going on and I have a complete fiberglass interior including dash, console, kick panels, amp rack, and cd player console. I hope to have most of it done by the end of next week.

Paint Process:

Body Work:

bodywork

To start with I went around and found all dents and rock chips. I ended up replacing both bedsides on the truck because it had been used as a work truck.

primer

Next I sanded the truck down and applied Evercoat UroFill primer.

The next process was to remove front end and door so I could trim everything in.

After that I moved to the outside and started painting. I then proceded with 2000 grit paper and color sanded the whole truck. When I got through color sanding I went back over the whole truck with 3M Rubbing compound with a somewhat aggressive foam pad followed by 3M Polishing compound with a light foam pad. I'm still waiting on my Porter Cable PC to come in so I can completely finish the polishing process. After that I'll end up putting on a glaze and wax.

xtremekustomz- Looks good! Always nice to see somebody doing a big job like that the right way :xyxthumbs

Is that the one where you had some issues attaining the final finish?

Yeah, thats it. I'm waiting on my polisher to come in so I can get the holograms out. I'm probably going to wait a few more weeks and let the paint cure a little longer though.

Nice work on the painting and buffing of the paint. Especially black.

I started off with silver.:D

Painting and buffing gets easier with experience. Looks like you are off to a darn good start though.:up

I appreciate the comments. I have painted some small things before but like I said this was my first overall. Funny thing is that I've got 2 people that want me to paint theirs now. Today I ended up color sanding and buffing my dash, console, and amp rack. I wanted to get some pictures of it but I didn't have my camera over at the shop. I also go one of my leather seat covers on my passenger seat (and a job it was). I was going to do the rear seat tonight but I'm about wore out LOL
