look what I get to attempt to fix....if even possible

yeah its hyper a couple times then hopefully one OC and one OP, then PS wiped off with OCW....true test to my results using all optimum products....ONR too....everything optimum on this one

I think if you are willing to go down to $30 an hour, then tell him you normally charge X amount and then tell him you will charge x amount for whatever reason you want to give him. Then you are getting the fair price you want, and he will feel like he is getting a special deal.

hahaha that is exaclty what I did....

i normally work at about 35-40 per hour, so I told her mom that I would work at 30 and hour up to 210 bucks...anything after that would be no charge....she said fine....I know for a fact lunch and drinks all day will be on them...they love me!!!

Good Luck, man! I'm sure with the right tools you can make it look good as new or close at least. be sure to post some pics of the progress.

well.....everything came out about 80%...the deeper stuff had to be wetsanded, and without them paying for that, I was not about to do it....it was close to a repaint anyway with how deep some stuff was....I even used a rotary and orange pad and OHC on speed 1600 for a few passes and it barely knocked down some of the more severe scratches...

final process was:

was

PC speed 6

megs burgandy pad and PG - OHC let me down

lake country orange pad and menzerna IP

RMG

Megs 21 sealant

I was a little confused....I got almost no micromarring that i could see from PG, and non with IP, it was crystal clear after IP, so i went with RMG to help hide some of the deep stuff, then with M21, more hiding was done....overall it came out really good from what it started and they were really happy with the results...

here are some pics....as you can see i finished kinda late, so no real afters....

how dark it was when I finished - 8 hours later on the dot....6 on the paint, two on the wash and interior vacuum and clean up

before polishing with burgandy and PG

after polishing with burgandy and PG - very little micromarring that cleaned up after IP

NO AFTERS....I AM EXTREMELY UPSET AT THAT, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT PHOTO ALBUM ADDITION...

I have to tip my hat to menzerna products...if they didnt cost so much, I would buy them all the time, but maybe thats why they cost a pretty penny....

I did two passes of OHC on a yellow cutting pad, then one OC pass with a orange LC pad, then one pass OP on a white LC pad, and to tell you the truth, I was let down....PG and a burgandy pad and IP on a orange LC pad took out more and finished better....Ill take two steps over four any day....but for the average work that I see, Optimum works out really well most of the time!

I thought the toyota paint was soft, but it was taking a lot to remove the bigger defects...even a rotary wasnt helping me out on the hood, which is where the worst of it was...good thing he didnt was the top!!!
