Long Term Test: 4 Popular Waxes

The Natty's container is actually my favorite one of all my waxes. I run a thin knife around the wax in the jar and get it out onto a piece of plastic wrap about 12"x12". I hold the wax round in my hand surrounded by the plastic. This lets me get a smooth, even swipe of wax on my Polishing Pal pad. The wax block is then stored in the jar again with the plastic still surrounding it. I am able to use every bit of my Natty's that way.

Thanks Accumulator and Junebug for the well-wishes during my most dangerous hobby. I've been around motorcycles most of my adult life and have gobs of experience, but I never let my guard down. I always take a second to recallibrate myself, never get cocky, and respect the machine.

Oddly, for me, motorcycles aren't nearly as much fun to detail as cars. I can't figure it out, but I think it's all the nooks and cranies.

I learned to ride on a crotch rocket back in 1990. It was exhilarating, but then I realized it wasn't what *I* was doing that was dangerous, it's all the other drivers out there that don't have a clue (and probably shouldn't have a license to drive) that were the REAL danger. So I gave it up. I've not ridden a bike in years and since then I've seen ever increasing numbers of NDMFs (Non-Driving-M.....F....) on the road with their cell phones glued to their head or looking at them in their lap while they text something.

As for detailing bikes, the most I've ever done is the tank and the plastic fairings on a Suzuki GSX-R 750, other than that I've never (and won't) touch a bike. I think you're right, must be all the nooks and crannies :)
