long long day............

Awesome as always, Joe. The paint looks absolutely unreal in the afters. :bow

How did it get that bad in the first place?

Thank you for the compliments.

Yes I used the edge system on this car. I am not sure I love it just yet. I need more time.

The buffer is a MAC TOOLS made by dewalt. It has identical specs and all. It is just red and says MAC on it. As far as buffer speed , I just set it by feel.

Yes the paint was super soft, it was a super pain to polish.

Just curious and if you don't mind sharing, how much did the detail cost?

I qouted $50 an hour per man. When the smoke cleared we had gone over by 2 hours. (you win some you lose some) The bill was for $1200.

Looking back it should have been closer to $1400. This was a polish job only, no engine or interior work was included.

Wow, looks great. When I saw that guy laying on the floor polishing I just wonder why no one here uses a lift when working on cars esp low ones. I understand it's not possible for a mobile detailer, but for a big job like that I guess it would save time to have a lift somewhere and do it there. A detailing place in a shopping mall near me, they have lifts. I am sure their work is not so great though(dirty rags etc).

Great work, amazing how badly the paint was marked up. Menacing car though. I love the deep dish rims.

Great job Joe!

Out of curiosity....how did you charge for a job like that? Really, 26 man hours? Wow!!!

No matter what the cost, most definitely worth it!

Kudos!

I charged $1200 for the job. Believe it or not I didn't make my labor rate. I figured we could have completed it in under 10 hours. We over shot it by 3 hours!!!!
