Long Haul at AutoZone...

AZ is now carrying the Long Haul brand of products. The truck wash looks interesting regarding its acid rain claims and Scottwax gives good marks to their QD

I'd call around...not all Autozones nationwide have the products. I've asked the folks at Long Haul to round up more specific dist. info.

The woman gave me info on an Autozone in my area that was supposed to have the products, I called, they did. None of the other AZ stores in my immediate area have it. :nixweiss I picked up some of the Polish/Wax. :D We'll give it a spin.

I have yet to see Long Haul at any of the AZ's in Pa. I know Scottwax loves their QD. I hope they get this product line cause I would like to give it a try.

Approx. $15 at AZ:

Pep Boys has the new Long Haul line. Their prices are pretty reasonable. They have a car wash, metal polish, degreaser, polish/wax and a QD.

I picked up a bottle at AutoZone in KC MO. Tried it on the wife's daily driver..96' Pathfinder. It definitely has a petroleum smell (mixed with a Meg's glaze smell). Wierd gray liquid that will definitely change the color of your foam finishing pad. Applied easy and wiped off easy with an mf. The end result is a very glossy finish. If you don't have a nice, scratch-free base, it will amplify those scratches. Overall, a winner IF the durability is there.

Is this the line that Scottwax uses?

I know he likes the QD and one other product, can't remember. I remember seeig it on a black BMW 3 series he did for someone in an office parking lot.

Is this the same company whose formulas are like race Glaze?

I just picked up a bottle today and will be useing it on a mountainer as a one step its pretty swirled up ,so it will be a good test as a one step product ill get a before an after shot if i remember

I went to my Pepboys and bought the wax, QD, bug/tar remover, and metal polish. I used the wax on a Silver Odyssey and dear lord did it make it shine. At only 8 bucks, it's a hell of deal for 24 ounces of product. I have yet to try the other stuff but I will be using the QD this weekend.

My local PepBoys also carries Long Haul products and I picked up up the QD ($5 each) and the Wash ($3 each). Haven't tried the Wash yet, but the QD cleans well, leaves a nice gloss and is streak-free. And at only $5 a bottle, makes it a good buy. Incidentally, PepBoys is also having a sale on Mothers SynWax ($9 each) and the FX Tire Shine ($4 each).

sorry to revive an old thread, but... anymore feedback on the polish/wax anyone?

I tried it about two weeks ago, I found it pretty easy to use, and shine was decent. Slickness was ok.

However, it didn't seem to fair very well during a few days of rain that I got last week; so I'm thinking it would work better as pre-wax polish. Going to try again on another car for further testing.

i was at the local pepboys today, and noticed that all the long haul items were on sale. i finally bought the 24oz truck polish/wax for only $9. can't wait to use it! :D

My local autozone doesnt have the long haul display anymore, maybe it wasnt selling

yeah, i believe they are blowing it out on clearance. none of the long haul products are to be found on the store shelves (one of the reasons why they are probably not selling) along with the other chemicals, only on an endcap (most people don't even pay attention to them). it would at least be visible & grab the attention of the customer, if they put it on the shelves. :nixweiss
