Tell us what you found!

I have never hear of it.

Have not used it.. I don't touch anything with a 50-foot pole without one of our pro's giving their shpiel on it.

I looked at it, and kinda cringed; but a local forum has an admin 'advertise' it, and I'm trying to say, "Good, or no good". Just wanted an autopian opinion before I opened my mouth!:dig

"CG Quick is a concentrated solution. Imported products can be costly, mostly due to shipping costs which are measured in weight. You can also dilute the CG Quick chemical by placing it in a larger spray bottle. Use a ratio of 3:1, three ounces of water to one ounce of CG Quick. Distilled water is preferable. Would you have rather pay for water weight over chemical? A single bottle should last you about 8-10 applications, which should last you over a year, though that depends on your usage."

(Last paragraph of the FAQ, http://www.crystalguard.com/FAQ.html).

So 8-10 applications should last me over a year, yet its a lifetime sealant that lasts a year? Ok, I'm lost. :)

"All sealants require a renewal or re-vitalizing application to maintain the brilliance of the coating. Under warranty, your service provider will maintain your coat with our maintenance products free of charge. Applying CrystalGuard Quick every 3 months helps maintain the integrity of the original protective layer while adding more luster and shine."

There is their out. Miss a single application and I bet the warranty is no longer in force. I guess it isn't as durable as they claim if you have to renew it 4 times a year.

I have a buddy who, against my warnings, paid $800 to have this stuff applied to his used car (bought from Enterprise where he works).. 2mo later, no protection to be found.

Its probably "not a bad" product, its just the marketing and promises they make, that make it unbelievable. Im sure if you used it the typical Autopian way, like every 6 weeks, you'd be more then fine. Course i may be speaking out my arse too..............

What Patrick said :xyxthumbs

Most of these products aren't all that terrible, but they aren't anything miraculous and who's applying them can be a huge factor. A friend of ours with physical limitations has this kind of stuff applied to her SUVs and they always look OK...it can be just great for people who aren't gonna get all "serious" about detailing. But again, who's doing the work can make all the difference.

As others have said it probably isn't a bad product. I think it was even demo'd and discussed about a year ago. If i remember it was a nice product and got very slick the next day. Not sure if longevity was ever tested.

My problems with these type of products is that they make false statements on protection. Then people think every product will and should last as long. It makes a hard sell when you say that Zaino or Duragloss or such will only last 6 months at most.

Most people have no idea, except what they read or others tell them. Miracle product after miracle product gets shot down.

On the surface, just another one of these dealership like 'deals' where a buyer pays a large fee for 'permanent' paint protection .... that must be periodically renewed. A great deal for the provided, especially since most folks will forget and quickly void any warranty!

Who was it that said to run away?

Autopians have spoken.

Verdict:

Probably not bad, but not spectacular.
