just wondering, i thought i read somewhere on the boards that when putting carnauba into liquid form, it loses its effectiveness, so should i stick with paste carnauba ?? thanks

Natural Carnauba wax is very hard and requires the addition of solvents/oils to ensure it is spread able.

Liquid Carnauba wax was formulated with extra solvents to enable its use with machine polishers.

Differences: Paste Carnauba is a more concentrated form than the liquid, which gives the â€Ëœbestâ€â„¢ shine, only âہ“yourâ€Â eyes can tell what looks best to youâ€Â¦

What TOGWT said. BTW, I've never been able to tell the difference. I guess they're too subtle for my eyes. That being said, I do like pastes better. Like most other Autopians, I find it soothing to be rubbing the wax on my car with the paste. Can't really explain it.

I really don't see any differences between liquid and paste versions, like with Meguiars #26.

What it tends to come down to is which version is easier for me to use.

The reason most people use liquid waxes is for convenience. They are somewhat easier to apply by hand and with a buffer. In terms of overall appearance, I would not say that there is much a difference. I prefer paste waxes to liquids, as I feel that I can get more applications out of a can of wax over a bottle of liquid. Also, there is nothing like the feeling of holding a solid can of paste wax and walking around your vehicle as you apply it. It is what you could call "old school", that's for sure.
