Shawn, in another thread about "factory spiderwebbing" I addressed the "legal issues" that must be addressed on the path to resolution.
The form that Beth sent you is not perfect, but it does provide a detailers some advantages.
One is the ability to educate and upsell a potential client.
Second is that it may provide relief from potential, expensive legal costs when the work is finished.
After all, if the extra 10 minutes or so are taken by the detailer, rather than "jumping" for the work and a low price, can produce extra income and then also reduce legal costs.
Let's take another look at it,- "how much do you charge an hour?" and "what does a lawyer charge you per hour to defend your posistion?"
If the detailer has the form, with notations made, etc and the customer signs off on the inspection, etc, one's legal fee's will be greatly reduced.
If one does find it necessary to legally defend their work, etc, and then the form is presented to your defending lawyer, it will be very cost effective. (plus most of the vehicle owners, when shown what they agreed to, signed for, will cuss and walk away without taking legal actions, they are in the corner."
Just some thoughts about the business other than some "new miracle marketed" product.
