Lexus Unveils 200mph Sports Car Design!

i like the front and side views, but once u start withe the 3/4 views it lets me down. its too boxy, they need to clean up the lines

The next 1-2 years will be big for Toyota. It'll be interesting to see if anything like the LF-A actually makes it to production.

BTW, have you seen the new Avalon? It will really test the ES...:p

j/k

that looks pretty sinister, but for some reaosn i think the front looks like a honda s2000, no clue why.

Looks like the love child of a DB9 and an S2000. (Iâ€â„¢m not saying thatâ€â„¢s a bad thing mind you.)

Yeah, definitely looks S2000ish in the front. Is this the car that is supposed to be the long awaited return of the Supra?

I am almost sure this will go into production. I know some Lexus insiders including their audio team and two top sales people and they have been told by corporate that it is a done deal. Autospies has pics of them testing a pre-production version.

They will siphon off some super car sales I think. It will be a good start for introducing a new performance emphasis at Lexus...

I've been told that HQ scrapped a planned M like performance upgrade in favor of the LFA development into a real offering.

Looks very nice, but it have one little problem... it's japanese ...
Interesting point.

Toyota, er... Lexus certainly has the technical expertise to make a superb car but a large part of the ultra-high-end market is about status, prestige and pedigree. Aston Martin, Ferrari and Mercedes have made it work. Many others fell by the wayside.

One could argue that the Japanese don't yet have the cache' for the market. Then again, one could have made a similar argument for the luxury car market. Lexus and Infinity have positively proved that idea wrong.
