Ordered 1.22.2019, arrived at dealer 03.13.2019.

Picking up this Friday, heading directly to Esoteric for full STEK DynoShield application, window tinting (Windshield 75%, all other glass 55%) and wheel removal/cleaning/prep/coating.

Should be at shop for 2 weeks or so then back home to NE Ohio.

Next challenge is dealing with BMV to get BGT PLAN license plates from old Corvette transferred to new.

Soooooo, cool congratulations, you deserve it and of course need full reviews of all done and of course drive reviews too.

Awesome car Budgetplan! The wife will be happy to drive this awesome car. IIRC it`s the wifes summer DD?

Looking forward to see it after the Esoteric has put their work on it.

Congrats to you and your wife!

Thanks...will be having many photos documenting process. If my schedule allows (actually getting busy at work, pool season is not far away) will head down to Esoteric for a bit and get up close and personal look at the work as it progresses, see how it`s done firsthand.
Hope you have a blast with that!
`Tis my wifes summer toy, my interaction will mostly be pulling it out of garage, washing it, pulling back in garage. Had 65k miles on the 2004, I maybe put about 3k of those miles on it.

If`n I was getting a toy, would likely be some iteration of new Mustang but I fear I will be rockin` my 2017 Accord for the foreseeable future. Doh!

It will probably make a pass or 2 down the 1/4 mile but no guarantee I`ll be behind the wheel for that either.

Yep...happy wife, happy life!
Congrats. Looks like a nice test subject with one of the new PPF coatings (Carpro Skin/GTechniq Halo).
Likely won`t be doing anything much on top of the film aside from one of my favorite toppers/boosters. The STEK DynoShield has claimed hydrophobic/self healing properties built in. Only time will tell.

Congrats!

I hope you start putting some serious miles on that car as soon as you get it back from Esoteric! Too many Vettes out there rarely see the open road.

Congrats ! ..........Black, Nice
My addiction continues...I`m my own worst enemy. We considered a variety of other colors but in the end, wife really digs the black w chrome wheels. Shiny things and all.

Bet if I showed her a pic of what a polished supercharger would look like on her engine, she`d beat me to the checkbook to get one ordered.
A Vette??? What were you thinking. Congrats on another career.( black)

While I`m more of a Ford guy, wife is a Vette Girl, thru and thru. She`s happy, the household is happy!
Congrats!

Spring, Summer and Fall this car will be driven like a regular `ol commuter car, no special care aside from obvious Autopian-ism. It`ll see rain, grocery store parking lots, dusty roads, drag strips and everything in between.

No need to save it for the next owner. Won`t beat it up, will get the best of care I can give it but certainly wont be strictly a garage-kept monument. I get that kind `lifestyle` too but for me/us, driving it is the whole point. I own the car, it doesnt own me...I think
Congrats! Looks awesome! Specs?

Should be enough to get her to work on time...

Would love to but did the whole winter/summer car for both of us for a few years a while back.

4 cars, 2 car garage just got to be too much trouble; moving cars, cars parked on lawn...and keeping 4 cars clean. I`m too lazy for that silliness any more
Jesus, it’s legal to tint the windshield where you are?
Yup, 75% is legal for windshield. It`s very, very light but does help to cut down glare both day and night and keeps interior cooler. Even the 55% that`ll go on side windows ain`t very dark, more of a smoked look as opposed to blacked out.

Worst case, we have it removed if we dont like it but just like car care products, ya just never know how it`ll really work for you unless ya give it a go.

This is 55% on sides:

Congrats on the car!

I got Air 80 on my windshield of my accord the main ````` I got about it is, mine has scratched some I am imagining it’s trying to use a shade on my windshield in the summer

I’m surprised you don’t want to take full ownership of the paint protection... even on top of the shield?

Nah, time to let the checkbook do the detailing on this one.

According to Esoteric, actual coating of the PPF with dedicated product not really necessary and in some cases, the built in hydrophobic layer of the film doesn`t lend itself well to being coated over, depending on the coating used. Just an occasional hit with a topper/booster and should be good to go.

I will be taking care of some items like coating the glass, interior protection and such so not totally un-involved. Didn`t wanna mess with pulling, cleaning, prepping and coating wheels `cuz it`s kinda a pain on jack stands so having them handle that as well.

Part of the fun of this whole experience is having the pro`s do most of the work; gonna try to pop in and hang around on for a bit while the work is done if my schedule allows, which I hope it does at some point over the expected 2-week job. Would be kinda like Baseball Fantasy Camp for Detailer`s...

And to be quite honest, kinda tired of car stuff right now...looking forward to a bit of a break before I have to re-do our personal cars this Spring/Summer.
