Or Vancouver to be specific. I thought about using a leaf blower to dry my car but I'm not sure if it's legal or not. Some said it's illegal but I see some people using it. I need help here

I'm in Ontario and have used my Stihl at 10PM. My neighbors can kiss my butt if they don't like it :) I need a dry car!

I'm not sure about Vancouver, but in my city gas powered leaf blowers are illegal. Electric are ok. Theory is gas ones are too loud, and you shouldn't have to use it anywhere within city limits that you can't drag a cord from. Seriously!

I know in some aria's you are not alowed to use them because they kick up dust and it can spread desease. I guess it kicks up rodent feces and people get sick from that. Only in very arid reagons. Yuck!!!!!!:scared :scared

Yes, leaf blowers are illegal in Canada. You can get a permit, but it is very expensive. Though the law may not make much sense, the Garden Tool special interest group was able to buy the votes of some of the legislators. They have been illegal since 1995.

:p

Dry your car with a rake.

Edited to add: Crap, I thought I was joking. Didn't read all the posts. Next they'll ban women's headscarves or something.

You think the law against leaf blowers is funny? Watch out.....These guys are getting ready to deal with another pesky leaf-blower user detailing his car......

I live in BC too and the bylaws must be local ones cuz the city here uses gas powered leaf blowers all the time and so do many others. Myself its just too much of a risk here to blow some crap up on the paint to wipe off and scratch .. Total drying with a WW M/F is only 15 min on a cold humid day.

im sorry just the image of driving by and seeing some one using a leaf blower to dry the car just gets me.:lol :lol :lol
