Leaving for S. Florida in the morning..

Heading to S. Florida in the morning for a well overdue trip. Had this planned for the beginning of this month, but because I got deployed to KY for a huge hail storm, I had to push it back a few weeks. Thank god I have such awsome & understanding clients and they were ok with this. Will be there from 5/21 to 5/27. About a 18 hours drive if all goes well. I'll basically be home this month a total of about 6 days. My wife is calling it Daddy-Cation. :noidea: I will definately need to give her some F U money when I get back for all the craziness she's had to handle with me not being around.

Just thought I’d post some pics of the gear and how well it fits inside my Fusion. I still need to make some room for Todd's gear later this week. I’m really not doing any heavy detailing, more or less a lot of spiffs on cars already corrected. The latter part of my trip will be spent with Todd Helme and a special surprise detailer guest too! I’ll also be spending some time with Tunch which will be a great treat as well. I’ll be using a lot of the new 3D/HD products including SPEED. I really think this product alone will dramatically cut down on touch time on these cars. I’ll report back with my findings when I get back….

Here’s what’s on deck for my time down there:

Day 1 & 2 = Ferrari 288GTO / Bentley Mulsanne / Porsche 356 / Range Rover / Cayanne

Day 3 = Ferrari Dino / Porsche 356 & 2 911’s (1970 & 2010)

Day 4 = Mulsanne – Full Detail

Day 5 = Ferrari 599 (light correction) / Quatroporte / F430 Spider / ML63 / Maybach

Day 6 = Ferrari 458 / 7 series (full detail & interior)

Here’s all my detail gear prior to loading:

Just fueled up in Southern Ohio. 1100 miles / 16 hours to go...

Thomas - The Nikon is fully charged, the memory card is empty and I got an itchy camera trigger finger...

Jeez, too bad you don't have any gigs that are in more northern Florida. I would've been happy to stop by to say hello. Any way, all the best, I'm sure those cars are gonna shine incredibly!

Made it safely and actually got a chance to pull over at the FL/GA border to take a 3 hour nap. Arrived home in perfect time for my Mom to make my a nice breakfast.

Thanks Jason - In all honesty, MI is way more uncomfortable then S FL right now. And, it's hotter here. We'll see how well I reacclimate after working in the sun for a day. :har:

I wish I could avoid going 4 hours more south! N FL is a totally different planet then down here. Thanks! Stay tuned for the write up....:bolt:

So what yellow towel do you love so much to have a whole tub full??

You have a nice car for a trip that far, we have an 09. The dealership have a new 10 for days later after our purchase, we were so pissed. How is the 6 speed transmission in that car? Ours gets 32MPG on the highway with us and a few bags in it.

I'm guessing they're Costco towels. Glad I'm not the only one with a huge collection of those and the Sam's Club towels (ProForce).
