Please follow the directions on the bottle. Yes, Leather Stuff NEEDS to be THOROUGHLY BUFFED to work its best. After discussing the final formula with my chemist, the addition of a softening agent and UV A&B absorbers may make the product a little slipppery if not fully buffed. By adding protection to the formula instead of just a cleaner/conditioner, a protective layer is being left behind. Remember that on most late model vehicles, leather seats are coated and not bare leather, so the buffing part is extremely important as these seats can not absorb.
