Is leather masters strong cleaner as strong as chemical guys? Does LM strong cleaner dry quickly and lead to what looks like a stain or over clean?

I have never experinced this problem with the LM cleaner. The LM is probably tough enough for most jobs. Where i would say it would not be effective is on old leather which has rarely been cleaned.

I thought about that LM stuff, but, reading the discription - it sounds a lot like every other one. The zaino stuff that I'm using now is ok.

Never used cg's stuff but LM's does dry quick but does not leave a stain(y) look. BTW LM's foam cleaner for suede is Strong Cleaner in foam form. Instead of having to buy a foaming bottle or trying to make SC foam using a sponge.

Only when used incorrectly IMHO. How are you applying it? With a foamer and sponge? Or are you spraying it direclty onto the surface? The only time I see this condition is when the surface has heavy soiling and the product is either left on the surface too long, not worked in properly or when you're attempting to clean too large of and area.

When I apply a leather cleaner I spray it directly onto the leather. Then immediately dip my leather scrub brush in water and scrub the cleaner, this gives it a nice foaming action. Then, I'll wipe away dirt with a damp cloth. I never tackle a large area at the same time. I've never used LM strong leather cleaner, but I'm looking into that or chemical guys leather cleaner. On a side note, how do you feel about optimum protect plus as a leather protectant on finished leather?

Well, ditch the Lexol and you're better off. I'm convinced that water (I'm using distilled now) and woolite (10:1) cleans as good as anything and poses no harm. Now, I'm at a loss what a suitable protector would be, obviously not 303, or any of the waxy, oily, greasy kid stuff or the leather cleaner/protector/conditioners.

Yeah, I have leathermasters strong and 9 times out of 10, I reach for the woolite/water mix (though I used 20:1) or for really bad stuff, Megs APC+ at 20:1.

Is LM strog cleaner not as effective as woolite/water? Or, is woolite/water more cost effective?

Its in between for me, so I either end up going for the light stuff, woolite, or the strong stuff, APC+

OK, if you like the Z then stick with it. Noting that I'm, uhm...different :o one of the reasons I like the LM so much is that it does *NOT* smell like leather the way products like Z do.
