Leather/carpet Cleaners

My buddy said that his friend's son (out of spite) took a bottle of red wine and spilled it all over his new C6 Corvette interior last night. It's all over the tan carpet, leather seat and dash. They tried to use a damp cloth and dab on the stains but with no luck. Is there any leather and carpet cleaner that you would recommend? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You might try a red stain remover for the carpet. There is one company that i know of that offers this product. I'm not sure if any sponsor companies offer this product. I'll do some digging. Sorry to here about that Vette though.

Thanks scrub for the info on the carpet cleaner. If you or anyone have leather or plastic cleaner recommendations for red wine, please let me know.

Thanks!

Dude

You are playing with fire there you should get that car is a pro detailer that has a extractor with heat that can remove the wine from the carpet.
I've used baking soda to lift the bulk of the wine then extractor to lift the rest on tan carpet its going to take some work
The plastics should clean with APC OK. The leather needs to be treated since the leather is clear coated it should not sink in but the strings might not fair as well. Cleaning and reprotecting si a key issue at this time. The clock is ticking on this one and should be addressed now!

P.S.
Tell your buddy that he should beat this kid with in a inch of his life!

DAMN! That's just so cruel. I know Top of the Line carries a Red stain remover. But like I think Beemerboy said, time is ticking. Get it to a professional who has red stain remover and extractor. Leather in a bottle makes a strong stain remover, but if it dyed the leather, you may have to find someone to re-dye it. Sorry to hear that. Stuff like that makes me angry. I just detailed my brothers Audi A6, and some jerk spit a big lugey on it the other day. What is wrong with people? Good luck.

Try the product called (Red Out) sold almost everwhere. It is a two part formula that is heat activated and should work great for the carpet.

The leather may not be possible to clean. Red wine has tanins which give wines their dry taste. Tanins are also acidic and has most likely softened the leather enough to allow the red wine to stain the leather all the way through.
(I've seen this situation several times with a regular limo company that I service)

If the leather can't be cleaned, dyeing it is your only option.
Go to www.vinylpro.com
They sell leather dye and also may sell (Red Out).

Denver if the leather is new and they wiped it down the clear coat should have repllled some of the wine.

Also check your PM I have a buddy that just moved out there looking for a detailer
