LC polishing pads won't dry

Hi all I have found that no matter what I do I can't get my LC white polishing pads to dry. I wash them in the washer on delicate then put them in the dryer on low setting when they come out they feel dry. I store them in a ziplock bag and when I go to take them out the pads are always damp, and when I turn on the PC I can feel a spray of water coming off them. I have tried everything to dry them with out success! I have even left them out in the sun for hours before putting them away.Anyone else have that problem.
 
Whatever you do, do not put them in a ziplock bag when they are still damp or they will mold and you will have to throw them out. My suggestion is to put them back on your PC or rotary after the wash and spin them on high to get most of the moisture out them leave them out for a few days to air dry.
 
Becareful about putting them in the dryer, infact I would not do it at all.

What I do is I take my powerwasher and spray them off. Then I put them in the washer on delicate and then set them on top of the dryer to dry. The heat from the dryer running on other items radiates up through the dryer and in less than a day they are plenty dry.
 
Harry the plastic bag may be holding moisture. tjhs could be from the pad not completely dry or may be warm from the dryer.IMHO if spin the pad on your PC do this at a lower speed this is know to cause pad failure,meaning the velcro won't hold up as long as they would under normal drying conditions..

I place my pads between a towel and squeeze out the water in the pad and then air dry them.
 
I have been using my pads alot and wash them and let them air dry for several days then store them in a tupperware type tub I got at lowes and they are fine. They take awhile to dry just give them time.
 
Put them on your PC. Put the pad/head into a bucket and turn it on low speed. It should spin water out. Don't do it on high speed though., An unloaded PC can't be good for the bearings.

I happen to use mostly Meg's pads, but that is my procedure as well. Actually, I usually let them dry for a week, then put them in a gallon size Zip-Lock bag that I leave open rather than sealing any moisture in.

I have tried using the dryer, putting the pads in the sun all day leaving them on a shelf above a refrigarator for a week its strange the pads feel dry but put them in a bag its like they suck moisture right back into them mybe I should just leave them out of the bags so they don't start to grow mold that would stink I only used them 4 times. my other pads are fine wash dry put in bags but not the white ones....

I do not store mine in plastic bags but instead use some containers i picked up at target.Here is a picture of them they have a couple sizes.

The container idea looks like a winner ! It looks like the pads can breath and not suck up moisture I think I need to go to target later today! Thanks all for the help you guys :thanks :bow
 
Remember though i still leave my pads out to dry for about a week prior to putting them back in the containers. Also I have noticed that the newer LC pads seem to take even longer to dry. I have some of the older ones that had the center pocket and they seem to dry pretty fast. The newer designed ones however do seems to take even longer than the week.
