Layering PBL coating?

So my metallic black car is now cured in my garage. I was going to put synergy on top of the black label paint coating (v1) and still plan to,
BUT
I noticed I have a tad bit of pbl coating left and am wondering if anyone has ever layered this? I think I have enough left for the whole car again if not the roof, hood and trunk lid for sure.

Am I just wasting my time/product or can this be done?
Should this be done?

I'm no chemist so I figured I'd just ask.

I happen to have the whole day off and I'm always up for a good experiment.

Unless highly advised against I am gonna try at least a fender.

It's been my experience that you need to do a 2nd coat immediately...long before the first coat is cured.

I don't know what Synergy is, but most resist the temptation to "top" a coating...there's no benefit and it inhibits the performance of the coating itself.

Synergy is about the only thing, besides reload that I would top a coating with.

I would think you would want the first base cured otherwise wouldn't you just be applying excess product the initial time?

Usually I wait for a coating to fully cure before I put another coat on. Then if I want a wax "topper", I wait for the second coat to cure and then I'll put the wax on top. This process will deepen the shine and give you more of a deep, wet look.

That's exactly what I'm going for.
Cure time says 12 hrs on pbl v1.
Ive been doing 24 just for safe measure and my day job schedule.

Am i waiting too long or is there nothing else going on after the initial 12 hrs?

I'm thinking 2nd layer of pbl, then start with the synergy after curing.

Any need to throw in reload anywhere in there or should I wait until after the first wash or two?

I just really love reload.

beads from reload in top of pbl/synergy on my daily. hood was dirty before the rain cleaned it up mostly.

I usually wait 24 hours for the coating to cure just to be on the safe side. Also I would apply reload in a couple weeks or after a couple washes.

2nd coat was a joy to apply. Went on much easier than the first which wasn't a huge surprise but welcomed.
Sun went into hiding after 6pm.
Still need to touch up the wheels/tires and plastic pieces

Heres a few shots for now

Todd mentioned in a Youtube class video that he didn't like topping or anything that left something behind with coatings. His reason was that coatings are much like paint and have pours that you can clog. Which will diminish the coating properties. Maybe that is something Mike believes as well in that post. Not sure what is right/wrong, but I have glazed my PBL coating just for shows.

But in the class at DF, Todd said that Synergy was made to work with PBL........ (hence the name synergy)

Just a guess, but glass coatings don't benefit, but mebbe ceramics do?

Been watching this thread without comment simply for the fact that I have no experience with what you were asking. I had similar results doing this with BF Coating about 10 days apart. My gut feeling was that it would work just fine. Thanks for showing us it works well. Your car looks very nice.
