Layering EX-P

After reading so much about it all over these boards I’ve decided to give the “Hawaiian Punch combo of VM & EXP a try. I’m pretty excited and anxiously awaiting the arrival of my products. I’ve spent the last 2 days reading as many post as I can about both of these products. I’ve found that many ppl love to use multiple layers of EXP and or top it with a carnauba.

There lies my question. I know when layering products there is typically a “curing time. How long should I wait between layers of EX-P? How long should I wait before topping with carnauba?

6 cyl of fury told me that due to the petroleum distillates in EXP that it may not be possible to layer it. Poorboys EXP once followed by Wolfgang x 2 coats is one combo I'm using

Can anyone confirm this? EX has been around awhile and never heard about non-layering with that either.

I have layered EX-P and really I don't sense that it has a lot of petroleum distillate in it. It is a fairly thick product and seems to layer fine. Steve (Poorboy) says it will layer.

I have been waiting at least 24 hours before applying another coat.

So now sealants/waxes with petroleum distillates can't be layered. Can anyone think of a wax/sealant that doesn't contain PD's?

Klasse may not. I took his word as he has had PB longer than me. I'll experiment with it.

In the future, more and more products will be solvent free

Before joining this group, i've read alot about different products and so forth.

My observation is " how can you layer a petroleum based product?" isn't a cleaner? cleaners cannot be layered, as they contain cleaning agents

SVR which Klasse product are you referring too?

Klasse SG has petroleum distillates in it. Says so right on the bottle. Most people seem to think this product can be layered.
