*&#($@# Lawn Care Services

Well, if everyone would get rid of grass and pour cement in their lawns and paint it green, we wouldn't have this problem. We also wouldn't worry about having to cut the grass anymore either. :bubba

Vinyl fake looking grass would be nice. I bet if done right would even look real too!

Well, actually, one of my neighbors who is an elderly gentleman did convert his small front yard to astro-turf and boulders. From a distance it looks pretty good...will have to walk by it and see how it looks closer up. Must say his place stood out like a sore thumb this past winter when all there was was snow and patchy brown yards.

Heck I like taking care of the lawn. For about 2 years I took care of the yards for some of our rental houses, so I got really into the landscape thing. Even though we have a gardener, he rarely comes on time (twice a month) so I often find myself cutting the grass. Not to brag, but during the summertime I've got one of the best looking lawns in the 'hood :D
Speaking of lawns, I need to pick up some fertilizer today...

Up until last summer I always had the best looking yard in the neighborhood - then I got hooked on detailing, and guess what? Yep, yard is only so-so, but boy do my cars outshine all the others !!!

The yard usually comes before the trucks for me, I usually end up washing our rigs the same day I do yardwork so I can kill two birds with one stone :)

If you think about it. One could easily become addicted to lawn car as they would to detailing cars. I bet a lot of people view mowing lawns as just cutting grass the same way they view detailing as just washing cars, when indeed is a very detailed process when taken to a further exent, just like cars are.

Exactly!
I'm extremely meticulous when I do it, I usually spend the extra few minutes to make the cool checkerboard pattern. I change directions every other time I mow so the grass doesn't start to "lean" in the same direction. Edging takes me a bit too, I go slow so I have a nice even cut all the way around. Fertalize every 3-4 weeks, mow/edge at least once a week (well, once every other week for me), and I use the spray fertalizer about 3-4 times a yr to keep that ugly diacondra (sp) grass out :D

Try Garden web forum. Ive used the tools, tractors, mowers forums for a couple years. dont go there any more. Found this site, changed interests. If you post in the correct forum they can help you with most any question but the BEST DETAILING. So Ill stay here and clean my vehicles. And get the weedeater out for all the flowers. RANDAL

I tried that once, and my mom got pretty mad. :D I was trying to explain to her that cutting the lawn would be much easier if I didn't have to dodge around all those obstacles.

I know everyone has been sitting on pins-n-needles waiting for an update...

They're gone. Out-here. Exit stage left. Canned. Fired.

New lawn care service is outside spec'ing out the grounds. Ran into them on my way back from another building, spoke to the sup and he assured me that they won't do the same thing the other firm did. He told me they, most likely, will start early enough and get up close to the parking area before any/many cars are here, and that the account is lucrative enough for them to make that a priority.

Good man, he is :-)
