Latest round of 56k friendly detail pics.

auqa-I got some good sun spot pics the other day when I detailed a black Ford F-150 a regular owns. He had it out at his deer lease and had some west Texas mequite induced racing stripes. It actually came out better than I thought it would.

When it gets late in the day, it can be hard to get those shots, especially with customer's cars since I don't always have much say in where the car is.

I face the same problems with sunlight. Not always available, but unbeatable test.

Yesterday I did a black one stage paint Citroen Shark, I belive 30 years old. Some swirls were left after complete procedure, but some pic I took looked fantastic.

I´ll try to post those pic tomorrow.

Congratulations!!

Just one comment, to test real perfection is it necessary to make a pic with sun or fluorescent reflexion on one paint point. The hood is my favorite. IMO that the way to show if fatal swirls are gone or not.

I attach an example

Do you agree??

Aqua trust me when I say this...if Scott has had his hands on a car the swirls are gone "sun shots" or not.

Usual world-class results Scott.

What is the name of the paint on your mom's ES?

It looks like the Oyster Pearl finish I had on my previous ES 300...

Lee-I don't know what the color is, looks silver to me. My Dad's digital camera put out darker pics, my 35mm SLR showed the light the way it actually was that day, so go by my pics when you try to determine the color.

It is a real nice car, they bought it in late 1999 (it is a 2000 model) and it only has 43,000 miles on it.

Looks great!!! I'm curious about how you apply and buff Grojet.

After seeing the picture of the Jaguar I decided to try Grojet on my dark blue BMW. I dampen a cotton applicator and apply Grojet. When it has dried I buff it off with a nice MF-towel (from Excel Detail).

When I look closely at the paint I see RESIDUE :scared :scared :scared

What am I doing wrong?

I am not sure, I apply Grojet using a dry foam hand applicator, apply a section at a time and remove. Maybe jgv can help you, I got Grojet from him. :nixweiss
