First off, the detail I did of my Mom's ES300 as an early Mother's Day gift. First the digital pic my Dad took, then my 35mm SLR pic from approxiately the same point. Poorboy's Polish w/carnauba, white polishing pad, PC on 5, EX-P by hand.

Here is another shot. Notice how shooting towards the light source (in this case, the sun) has a lightening effect on paint, especially on metallics.

I polished out this Jaguar S Type in early March with Grojet2000, an AIO like product with good durability. The paint was still looking very good and was very smooth, but the week prior, it began to rain not 2 minutes after I had finished washing it and since it was the second time it happened, this past week, I applied a coat of Poorboy's EX-P gratis. Only took an extra 10-15 minutes or so and he is a good customer.

Great job Scottwax!!!!! I love using aio on light colored cars because it brings out the flakes in the paint, and its a good base for sg and/or a caranuba like #16.

2004 Honda Accord with metallic black paint (blue metallic, actually!). 5 months old, never been waxed. Paint was in very good condition, only minimal cobwebbing in the paint in bright sun. I used Poorboy's PwC with the polishing pad with the PC on 5 on vertical panels and bumped it to 6 on horizontal surfaces.

Here is a 2004 Altima. I used the same products and techniques on this car as the Accord except I did need to clay all horizontal panels on this car. I took both shade and sun shots and quite honestly the sun shots look better.

Last ones. Acura MDX. Very well cared for, the guy washes it 4-6 times a week and has me wax it every 2 months. As expected, the paint was in excellent condition, so just a quite polish with PwC with the polishing pad on 5 and EX-P. The particular truck has metallic paint so I took a couple of shots that show how different angles affect how the truck looks.

How are your 1-stepper experiences with PwC? How much protection will it give?

I have to say that I saw the pics of your mums car that you originally posted with the digital camera, but they just dont seem quite as good as the SLR pics you have taken Scott. Seems like I need to get an 35mm SLR now...always something!

Accumulator-the main advantage the PC gives me is more even polishing more quickly. What would take me two steps by hand takes one by PC. Waxing though? I can apply wax (assuming all polishing steps are done properly) a lot faster by hand than PC...as Aurora40 can attest too. Before he finished one rear panel, I got the whole rest of the side of the car, the front end about about 1/2 the section he was PCing.



1 Clean WS6-no, not yet. As with waxing, I don't think it will really save me any time. Those who showed up at the Meguiars/Autopia meet can verify how quickly I can remove the excess by hand.

You'd have to see if they will convert to $$$. I got mine from jgv. Real nice one step product, very easy to use (even in the sun) and great results for so little effort.

"Great results for so little effort" is very intriguing. I sent Grojet an e-mail some time ago about a US distributor, but never got a response. May have to try again.

OK, that makes sense...I saw on another thread where the PC should make things easier with the harder paints, too.



I know you're taking a little kidding about using the PC, but time is money, huh? I think that tool's gonna pay for itself in no time.

Just one comment, to test real perfection is it necessary to make a pic with sun or fluorescent reflexion on one paint point. The hood is my favorite. IMO that the way to show if fatal swirls are gone or not.
