2000 Ford F250. Last detailed in early January. Was stored for a few months then his son started driving it-actually pretty decent shape still. Polished with Optimum Polish and a Meguiars polishing pad, finished with Detailer's Pride Premium Surface Shield.

===========

1984 Cadillac Biarritz. Master's Golf tournament car that year. Obviously a repaint and a pretty good one at that. He just wanted a quick clean up, more paint work next time. QEW wash and Quikshine QD on the outside, Woolite/water mixture to clean the seats and carpets, Meguiars Interior Quick Detailer on the vinyl, Turtle Wax Leather Conditioner on the leather.

2002 Toyota Tacoma. Owner is letting his manager's son drive it. Interior is completely trashed, the owner says the kid can clean up that mess but he wanted me to detail the exterior, which was in much better shape (aside from a few bird bomb etchings) so I polished it with Clearkote's Vanilla Moose and topped with Poorboy's EX-P and yes, I did it in the afternoon sun on a 95 degree day. :)

==================

2003 Toyota Camry. Not going to be any shots of the passenger side, a disgruntled employee keyed the $@%$ out of it, but the customer said the car (his girlfriend's) had never been waxed and there may be several months of court battles before they can get the culprit (caught on camera but defended by his union) will pay to have it repainted. Car already showed evidence of a repaint, lots of crap stuck in the paint on the roof and trunk lid but suprising lack of orange peel. Go figure.

Polished with Optimum Polish and a Meguiars polishing pad and topped with Collinite 845 Insulator Wax. Very easy to use, deep wet glow. :)

Excellent work Scott! Did the '84 need claying? What does one charge for a ""quick cleanup" in your area?

That house behind the Ford looks very nice.

2003 Honda Accord. Owned by the owner of the Camry's daughter. NO CLEAR COAT---WHAT IS WRONG WITH HONDA??????

No beading at all when washing with QEW and paint on the hood was noticably dull. Doesn't show well in pics though. Another reason I am not a huge fan of white paint. Anyway, polished with Optimum Polish and a Meguiars polishing pad (twice on the hood and roof) and sealed with 845 Insulator Wax.

As you can see, I had a very long day today. All three vehicles in the foreground. The F250 got PwC and 845, but ran out of pics on the roll in my camera.

I charged $55 for the interior cleaning and another $25 to wash and QD it. Goes real fast with the top down. ;)

The house behind the Ford it the guest house. Seriously. The main house it 11,000 square feet. The guest house is the one with the incredible garage I posted pics of a while back. :)

Thanks! Must be a nice house!

How long did the interior take you & what was the process? I hope you don't mind my questions.

Took a little over an hour, carpets were in pretty decent shape. Seats needed deep scrubbing but came clean pretty quickly.

Hey Scott, is the color of the Accord Taffeta White? How does one tell that it doesn't have a clearcoat? My Civic is an 04 and it's Taffeta White and I'm not sure if it has a clearcoat.

NICE WORK!

Looks like a little over exposure with the camera?

Been battling it all summer when I have a sunny background. Camera is supposed to use matrix metering but black paint taking up the vast majority of the center of the picture seems to throw it off.

I have no idea that the official color name on that Accord was but it was quite obvious it was single stage. Just rub some polish on your paint and if you get white on the towel or pad, your paint is single stage.

Scott, what speed (moving and machine) do you go with the PC when using a Megs PP and optimum? You seem to get everything awesome with that combo. Great work on each car, especially that Tacoma!

I usually keep the speed on 5 and after spreading out the polish, I slow down to about 1/2 to 1" per second of movement for 2-3 passes. Sometimes I bump it up to 6 to polish out trouble areas. Definitely makes a difference.

Scott, I can assure you 100% that the car SHOULD have clear coat. why their particular car does not is beyond me? but i don't think it would somehow slip through the cracks on the assembly/paint line :)

Not a chance. The base coat on a 2 stage paint job (base/clear) is dull and relies on the clear coat for the shine. You cannot polish out a base coat only paint job and make it shine. Single stage, yes, but the color coat for a 2 stage, no.

I was kind of making a joke (poor attempt i suppose). All i am saying is, go down to the honda dealer, call honda, whatever, all of their paints are cleared, even the white. i have two white acuras sitting in the garage, plus previous white hondas, i speak from experience.

I had the same experience with 2 year old Integra. (I think it's RSX over there?)

Anyway, it was red and single-stage only.

Seems that Honda only puts clearcoat on metallic paints for some cars.

Flat paints like white and red are ss only.

Who knows why.

Nice details as always.
