Just a QEW wash and applied Collinte 845 Insulator Wax to my car. Pretty decent reflections, I guess. :)

2002 Cadillac DeVille. I detail it about once a year. The owner (disabled Navy vet) and his wife aren't in the best of health so it probably accumulates around 5000 miles a year now so it was in excellent shape from last year's detail. Polished with Klasse AIO using a Meguiars polishing pad and Jeff's Werkstatt Acrylic Jett by hand.

Stuck in the sun today, high was near 100. I had three vehicles to do for the office that pays for one steps for their employees. Normally I'd used PwC but I needed a bit more bite so I went with Vanilla Moose since it does contain wax and is good for 2-3 months, based on my experience. I thought about going with Long Haul Polish/Wax but it isn't meant to be used in the direct sun.



This BMW really needs deeper polishing but since the boss only pays for a one step, more intensive polishing will have to wait until the owner decides to pony up the difference. As you can see, it did have some spider swirls.

After a couple minutes with Vanilla Moose and a Meguiars polishing pad. Started off with the speed on 5 and then bumped it to 6 and really worked it in. Vanilla Moose stayed wet the whole time I worked it. Not perfect, but a whole lot better. The owner was pretty happy with how much better it looked.

Vanilla Moose bites that much?!?! Wow, I really need to get myself some of that for my one step customers too...as always, great work and keep the pics and info and expertise coming :D.
 
2004 Jeep CJ-5. Last detailed in late winter. Had a few light brush scratches but otherwise in really good shape overall. Polished it out with Optimum Polishing using a Meguiars polishing pad and waxed with 1Z's Glanz Wax. Armor All on the tires and in the fenderwells.

The depth of the reflections I got from the Optimum/Glanz Wax combo was quite impressive!

It also has light filling properties but since I was using it as a one step, I didn't wipe it down with water/alcohol. VM will remove up to light defects with a polishing pad and the speed on 6. Stays wet so you have a very long working time if needed.
 
That's cool, and wow I should've waited to post until after your Jeep (sorry, couldn't wait...had to be the first to a Scottwax thread for once :) ) because it looks crazy good.
 
As a Jeep wrangler owner myself, I must say thats one helluva nice Jeep and the finish looks awesome. I'm quite impressed with how VM performed on the BMW as well. I have some tucked away in my cabinet... might just have to revisit that stuff.



Great work as always and I must say I never see Armor All look so good on tires until I see the ones you apply it to :2thumbs:



BTW, is that a little off road damage (battle scar) I see on the rear fender?

I dont think this guy goes off roading much.

Its funny, every time Im thinking of trying something new, I catch one of your threads and you seem to have it showcased.....You must be psychic as well as artistic!



Do you have any tips for the VM as a one step? Whats your favorite topper for VM if you use it as a glaze?
 
How did you like JWAJ on white? I just put it on my daily driver...kinda have mixed fellings about it...but then again it might just be the horrible condition of my truck...GREAT WORK!

I just use it the same way as if I was topping it. Work it into the paint with the speed on 5, bump it up to 6 to correct.



I mostly use CMW over VM if the paint is dark, EX-P if the paint is light.



4830Deuce-I really like it on white, one of my favorite sealants on light colors. What do you mean by 'mixed feelings'?



General Lee-must be a reflection of something. No damage to any of the fenders.

I feel that it looks awsome on dark colors but on my whtie truck it just didnt do it for me...But I since take back my comments, teh past two days were cloudy but today teh sun came out and WOW....even tho it is a white truck it looked 1000000 miles deep! It might have been the 4 layers i put on it :waxing: ...hehe
