First, a 2002 BMW 330i - worst 3 year old car I ever worked on. Spent 5 hours on the interior alone. 8 hours total (I know Sean could do it in 4 :D)

Note to others:

I started polishing with TOL's 6" orange pad and didn't have much luck removing swirls, so the car is not 100% swirl free. I switched to Properautocare's 7.5" orange pad and what do you know? It cuts much better

Very Nice work. 5 hours? WOW...I wouldn't clean floor mats and carpets with Purple Power. The ph is way to high and high alkaline cleaners are too harsh on even nasty carpets. Save that stuff for engines, fender wells, tires, etc. I had to buy a set mats for a customer once. :hang:
 
awesome job!! All look awesome. I still gota get around to buyign some #2180. What are seeing on durability with #2180? Again great job!

great on the interiors...It amazes me how someone can spend 40K on a trash can...On the last one...noticed you used sealant/glaze over top of pwc....I always thought the sealant's and glazes went under the carnuba

According to Steve, pwc contains more sealant than carnuba. I use it as a polish/sealant.

I have 1 coat of 2180 on my own car which is very dirty. Clients cars that I only see once I try using #2180 or #1000 but i never know how long they last Sorry. I do take care of a Jag that gets coats of #1000 and after a couple of months, the paint feels as slick as when I fist applied it. Looks fantastic too!

The Purple Power is cut down like 5:1. To me it isn't in the same League as Castrol's Super Clean :-p - unforftunately it has been taken off the shelves in Virginia. That is some good stuff!
 
Wait a minute!! you guys are saying that PwC contains more sealantthan carnuba?

We are talking about PB's PwC right? It doesn't contain sealant . Its polish with carnuba . A light chemical cleaner with some wax to protect after .

You put sealant on after that because it has polish . If you want to top sealants with carnubas than it has to have no cleaners or polishes that'll strip off your hard work .

According to Steve, he has had pwc on his own car through the whole winter. It is that protective. Hopefully he will chime in.

The protective part is the Carnuba ( wax ) . When I think of sealants I think of Polymer based stuff. Ya know Ex, EXP , UPP..Higher melting point than carnuba and better bonding if applied correctly .

I then will use a carnuba wax to protect my sealant and help with a better reflection.
