I don't know why my original thread disappeared but if someone could PM me and let me know what the problem was I would appreciate it. :)

I have the promised few more shots of the 1996 Porsche I did last Sunday.

Here is a mostly shaded shot of a rear fender:

Here is a full sun shot, and as you can see, the sun's brightness really makes the paint look different! The car is a noticably different color in shade than it is in the sun.

A full car shot from the top. BTW, I used Meguiars #80 with a polishing pad, Poorboy's PwC with a polishing pad and Pinnacle Souveran by hand.

===================

Regular customer's car. I used the Wolfgang twins on it in late April or early May. Still beading but some spider swirls were apparent in the full sun. I used Meguiars #80 with a polishing pad and #16 by hand.

====================

2004 Toyota Tacoma. It has some light water spots on it from sprinklers. I QEW washed it with a pint of vinegar added, which seemed to take care of all the minor water spots. Polished it out by hand with Meguiars #80 (no plug available) and sealed it with Poorboy's EX Sealant.

I went nuts on mine again, I think I finally have the paint as swirl and scratch free as it will get without wetsanding it out. Meguiars #83 DACP with a polishing pad, #80 Speed Glaze with a polishing pad, Poorboy's PwC with a polishing pad and #16 Pro Paste x 2.

Like usual, some pics are a touch dark since it was about 30 minutes to sundown when I finished. I took a few pics yesterday when I had more light. Those shots should be obvious. ;)

Notice my new chrome exhaust tips in this pic. :)

Probably going to the last shots of my car for a while. I may add a layer of Souveran about once a month between now and February but unless I develop any problems like scuffing, paint transfers, etc, I am leaving my car alone other than weekly washing and QDing.

==================

Now a real beauty! These cars are pure sex up close.

Poorboy's Polish w/carnauba and a polishing pad, Pinnacle Souveran by hand.

love the lexus!

those are the factory/option wheels on the SC, right? i heard there was some story behind the wheel and how to order it...?

have you ever tried WPS on reds? i have heard that it was the best on reds, andi was curious if it was comparable to souveran.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Fabulous work:bow as always. I'm especially fond of that Porche.

Are those marks on the driver's side front bumper on the beamer?

Also would like to know what you use on the tires.

And the last question (just curious): do you prefer #16 on your ride (over the souveran)?

:bow

As always great work! I love the Lexus...it looks absolutely liquid! Like it just rolled out of the paint booth, LOL!

I think someone got sick of seeing your inferior product using, undercover product selling and over exposed photo details. :rolleyes:

As always.... BEAUTIFUL work Scott!! :xyxthumbs :bow :xyxthumbs

Thanks for reposting the pics.:up :xyxthumbs Your Mazda looks luxurious because of the shape the paint is in.:eek:

Keep on postin!!!!!!!

Looking good. Its is probably the angle of the shot, but the front bumper of the BMW does not look as glossy as the rest of the car.

As to your post disappearing it was probably due poor photograhpy skills and someone wanting to stealing the Mr. Popularity crown. :rolleyes:

I don't know anything about those wheels, but I can ask. I wash their cars weekly and wax one of them each month.

WPS? :nixweiss

BRUHA-I used the last of my Hyper Dressing, cut about 3:1 with water. 1:1 and 2:1 are way too shiny.

NTTG-yeah the whole car has scuffs here and there. It wasn't taken care of very well until I started washing it weekly about a year and a half ago.

Right now, I prefer using #16 because I don't have to apply it very often. I get alright durability out of Souveran, it has beaded nearly 3 months for me, but optically, it starts to lose it's richness around the 6 week mark. The days are getting shorter and I will have less time to spend on my car.

WPS = 1Z Wax Polish Soft.

I got a bit from member thinksnow. he swears on it for reds. says durability is awesome as well.

apparently it can only be purchased in the professional 1L sized cans. it's some similar (or so i've heard) to the 1Z metallic polish, only this one has more fillers...? something like that. if the durability is good, it might be something that could benefit you for your red-car-owning customers.

Nobody is gonna touch him while he's using the PC, but once that day is over and he goes back to hand polishing it's open season... :nixweiss Whoops I thought I was still watching the Pete Rose movie. Grt job Scott, that Lexus looks really good. I'm a sucker for anything with carnuba in it, so I might have to order some of the polish with carnuba just to check it out. :xyxthumbs

I notice you seem to use the #16 a lot. Is that your preferred wax? If not, what is? Sealer/Glaze?

I'm curious because you do such incredibly beautiful work that I'd like to emulate you with my own cars -- without having to buy every wax there is. :) I only have a PC and my bare hands. The job you did on that truck by hand is incredible!

Steve-my two main LSPs are #16 and Poorboy's EX w/carnauba because I get good durability, great appearance and ease of use. On high end garage queens, I use Souveran if the vehicles are red or dark colored. On cars that are being sold, I use Poorboy's PwC and Natty's Paste since it looks so wet. Not as deep as Souveran but very wet looking and it makes a good impression. I also use NXT Tech Wax if I am being paid for a 2 step job when the vehicle really needs a 3 step. #80 followed by the light cleaning properties of NXT really works well in that situation. I also use Wolfgang but not as much in the summer because I don't always have shade to apply it in.

Thanks for reposting these, Scott. Your pics make me want to go out & shine up some cars. And isn't that why we're all here? :up

WOW:bow simply amazing. what i am so amazed about is how you know exactly what you are going to use when the situation is presented. i can not wait until my supplies grow to that level and more importantly, my skill/knowledge grow to that level. awesome work. very inspiring.
