1996 Acura RL. Tried and true favorite, Meguiars #80 with a Meguiars polishing pad and NXT with a blue Propel finishing pad. I detail this car about every 6-9 months. Front end is pretty messed up from rock chips, but otherwise the car is in excellent shape.

2003 Chrsyler Town & Country. Less than 7000 miles on this one, owned by an older couple. The paint was pretty much swirl free, just a few minor paint transfers. Clayed the horizontal panels, polished with Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze and a blue Propel finishing pad, Poorboy's EX-P+ (the final production ready version) by hand. Only got two pics, ran out of film.

Did you use Tropi-care products? It seems like that from the title....

Not sure if I want to ever try tropi-care, if you go to LS2.com, there are a bunch of leg humpers for the product and its so damn annoying.....kinda of like Zaino Zealots, but worse!

I got a small sample bottle of Tropi-Care TC3 from burlyq to try. Pretty decent product, IMO. Easy on, easy off and a nice wet shine. Looks good on dark paint but really excels on lighter colors.

I used it on this 2004 Jeep Wrangler I had polished and waxed about a month ago (#80/EX) and when I went out to clean his daughter's VW, he asked me to also put another coat of wax on the Jeep, so I figured I'd try TC3 on it, no polishing was necessary. Piece of cake to use!

2000 VW New Beetle Turbo. I hadn't detailed this one in about a year and this was actually the first time I finished it before the sun went down so I made sure I got pics.

I polished it with Optimum Polish and a Meguiars polishing pad, then sealed it with TC3 by hand. Very nice combo, the Bug really had a nice glow.

LOL yea the F-body board are full of Zaino and Tropicare nut huggers :)

Im taking it you used the TC on the tires possibly? I have a sample that im thinking of trying out tommorow of it.

Edit: I should have known not to post until I absolutely knew there were no more cars from you!!

I had to polish out my hood and trunk because of my neighbor's potentially soon to be deceased cat (if it jumps on my car again :angry ) and one of the doors because something was dragged across it and left some surface scuffs. I polished it out with #80 and a Meguiars polishing pad, then glazed it with Red Machine Glaze and a blue Propel finishing pad and topped with Carnauba Moose by hand.

Looks pretty good in the shade:

And even better in the sun!

Scott-what products do you think will work under TC? Colorx? any other suggestions-

I'm betting AIO would work very well. Optimum obviously did too. I'd think any polish that doesn't leave behind a lot of oils would work.

great work! Makes me want to dive on your car :D What do you think of ex-p+? I'm still thinking if I should get one.. thanks :)

AWESOME work Scott!! :xyxthumbs I like the VeeDub!!

I would like to know your thoughts on EX-P+ as well. Any ideas on when it will be released??

Scott, did you have the pink or yellow TC3? I know most of the samples that went out were the pink with only a couple of people on here being sent the yellow.

The new version is noticably thinner and much easier to spread thinly. The color is much whiter too but it still has the same great smell. I haven't tried them side by side, but EX-P+ does have a real clear and wet look.

I believe it is now available for sale.

Scott...can you layer tropicare? Also, would you go with that or the EX-P on silver?

Thanks,

Brett

:nixweiss I don't know for sure if you can layer TC3 but if I remember right you can. Doesn't really matter to me whether or not a product actually layers, if I want to apply the product again, I will and I will at least get the look and durability of a fresh coat.

On silver, I'd probably give the nod to EX-P+, but on some other colors, like the metallic green C class I did today, I really liked the wet glow I got from TC3. I could have gone either way on that color and been pleased.

AJ-I agree, it is a very easy product to use. I learned today you need to apply it THIN or it takes a while to completely haze and wipe off cleanly. I pulled that C class I put it on today out into the sun to inspect it (well, yeah, also to take some pics ;) ) and I could see a few areas where some residue left some minor hazing. A few spritzes of Quikshine took care of it though.

Jay-the version I have is yellow. Does it matter?

Not really. The yellow is the current version whereas the pink was the "original" formula. The yellow has more ammino resin and is thinner than the pink. Some people had trouble with the pink when applying it by hand, I just wanted to make sure you were using the latest offering.
