What's with the giant tires on the RX?

:nixweiss I guess he wanted 18s on his wife's Lexus.

Paul-I don't list washing either but I do that too. I only list claying if it was a major step (aka heavy overspray). I clay on an as needed basis, usually for free if it is light.

mgm121499-no problems at all. They made some changes to the adhesive and I haven't had one come loose in at least a year now. The pad faces wear out first.

BlkTac05-note my new user text above my avatar!

Just when I think your black car couldn't get any blacker, it somehow does :bow

When you detail vehicles like the Rav 4, do you tape off the plastic trim? I really like the second pic of the Rav 4.

Terrific job on all vehicles:xyxthumbs

Great work as always. When I saw the cadillac I thought you put souveran on it becuase it looks incredibly wet.

The new version of EX-P does have a very wet look to it, I've been really happy with it so far. :)

bluemoon-AIO isn't a product I have a problem with staining trim but if I was doing heavy polishing, I would have taped it off or been very, very careful around the trim.

Thanks for the comment about my car. My goal is always to make it look blacker than it already does. I mean, if you are going to have a black car.....:xyxthumbs

Scott,

You always amaze the S**t out of me! :bow :bow :bow

You actually are making me wish I had a black car again!

All your details look SWEET and I always look forward to your posts and pics!

A quick question, how does the new EX-P compare to the older version of EX-P? And how do you like the NXT paste? It sure looks good in all your pics!

Again Scott, great post and pics! :xyxthumbs

Cheers,

Scott - You use so many different combos on so many different cars. How do you choose what you will apply to any given car? Do you have specific combos you favor for certain colors, or does it depend on what the paint needs to be ready for the LSP? I too enjoy your pics, and envy your work.

Andrew-Thanks! The new EX-P is wetter looking, seems a bit slicker (especially after an hour or so) and since it is thinner, easier to use as well. I really like the paste version of NXT too. In fact, odds are my 1/2 full bottle of NXT will sit untouched while the nearly full can will get used up rapidly. The paste version sets up much faster for removal and has a rich, wet look. Still the NXT 'look' but wetter, IMO.

Tasty-Sometimes I am in the mood to experiment a little, other times I go with combos I know will look great because of previous experience. Color and any metallic tend to influence what I use.

Scott, I think I read that you keep notes on what product you use on your clients vehicles. Is that correct? You must have quiet the combo list for different color paint.

Shawn-I note what I use and the color of the vehicle with every detail. I do it so I can remember what looks best (to me) on each color and also to monitor the durability of the combos.

The optional 18" don't come that high profile tires. But oh well, your results are stunning.

Are you the one that detailed that '96 (?) C-Class, the green one?
