That black Silverado is just amazing - do you give lessons?

Actually, the Silverado is a dark grey metallic. ;)

I've thought about trying out a couple detailing lesson classes and see what type of interest there is. Probably wouldn't help most Autopians too much, but should really be beneficial to those new to detailing.

Chris-possibly next summer? Oh noes!

I have a feeling by the time I finish off the rest of the Multi-prep (that name reminds me of the Fifth Elemetn and the multi-pass!), I will still have a lot of the sealant left. Will it work fine over AIO? How about Vanilla Moose or PB's PwC?

I'd hate for it to sit idle for up to 18 months.

Scott, I find that DACP can sometimes "gum up" but I don't have this problem with SSR2.5. It could be technqiue of course. ;)

Come visit us Autopians in Atlanta for a machine polishing 101 course. I would pay a reasonable fee for that. :)

The only time I've had any problems with DACP is when I've used too much or didn't work it long enough. Maybe it's because I have been using it ever since it was introduced to the market. :nixweiss

I would be willing to drive 4 hours to Atlanta to attend a detailing class from Scottwax.....in a heartbeat.

Bill-aka Patrick sells the Propel pads on his website. I never heard of them until I tried the ones he sells. Here is the link:

So far, I really like them. The backing goes almost all the way to the edge of the pad and seems very durable.

Scott, have you tried the newer style pads? I ordered some pad a couple of weeks ago, the gray and green pads I got are like the ones he had pictures of on his old site, but the blue ones are the newer style like he has on his site now. Haven't had a chance to try them yet (weather).

It is also 4 hours to Dry Ridge, Kentucky, where I will be picking up my kids at the end of May. I am going to get there a day or two early to make sure I don't miss my older son's high school graduation. Probably spend 4-5 days there total. Just a thought.... :)

Scimmia-I think I got the old style pads, they seem the same as the ones I got a couple months ago. You might want to PM Patrick and ask him about the availability of the new pads.

This is the way I've been using them:

Yellow-DACP

Green-#80

Blue-Clearkote's test yellow wax, Shokar multi-prep

I'd probably use VM or PwC with the green pad and AIO with either the blue or green.

No, what I was saying is that the blue ones I got from him are the new style, and the grey and green are the old style. I was just wondering which ones you had been using/recommending.

The blue one I got were the old style, along with all the rest. Those are the ones I am recommending. At around $7.50 each they are definitely worth trying out.

Scott awesome details.Would you say that the ssr2.5 is your go to for swirls.I did to try some I must say Ive been very happy with all the poorboys Ive used.
