Latest details v.My kid's car and S10 recovery + Natty's Blue

Your 626 sure is wet. I can sure relate to love/hate with black. It looks great for such a short time, but in that short time, all you can do is stare and smile :)

Very very nice work as usual... I just picked up some SSR 2.5, no chance to use it yet (thinking of testing it on my friend's silver S4), but read so many comments about going straight from that to LSP, now people are saying with SSR2 they experience marring... Hmmm... Guess I'll have to get some 2 and 1 to go with my 2.5 and EX-P (also planning to test the EX-P on the S4) :)

Thomas - avoid mid-afternoon shots if at all possible - it's the worst light of the day (morning and evening within an hour or so of sunset is the best light). Or find an area completely in shade and shoot with the light at your back. If you have to shoot in harsh mid-day sun, force the flash on your camera to work, to fill in harsh shadows (called "fill flash") and shoot with the sun at your back. It should help to improve your photos a lot.

WE ALL know how well you detail and the pictures prove it, but my god your photographic skills are also out of this world. Do you ever take a bad picture?

Yeah, I don't post them! Sometimes I am limited by location and the fact the cars I detail aren't mine so I don't always get to move them around to the perfect spot, or have optimum lighting conditions.

I've seen pictures that you took around noon (red jeep - VM x2) and even those came out perfect. I take a picture mid afternoon and it looks like $h...

My camera has matrix metering so I normally get decent exposure even in the bright sun but at times the background is a bit over exposed. I've been playing around with the settings on my camera to adjust for a bright background but it seems limited. A digital camera might have a larger range of adjustment than my 35mm camera though. :nixweiss

PS: Can you tell me more about the "new" PwC? How is it different?

:bow :bow :bow

Actually, it is the new EX w/carnauba. Seems a bit thinner and spreads very easily (which made my son happy) and has a somewhat deeper look than the original. Looked real close to Souveran on the black Porsche Cayenne I regularly do.

Sean-my son will be going to Greenville College in Illinios. He has a very generous scholarship, covers about 80% of the cost over the next 4 years. Since it is a Division 3 school, technically, his scholarship is academic (and he does get excellent grades) but he will be playing football there. :)

tdekany-about 2 hours, 15 minutes. Once my younger boy had the front end QEW washed and clayed, I started polishing. Really speeds things up when you don't even need to have the vehicle completely washed before working the paint. We did the same on the SC430. He got a bit ahead of me and I went behind him applying and removing Glanz Wax. Took us maybe 30-35 minutes for us to wash, wax, vacuum, clean the windows and clean and dress the tires/fenderwells.

Hey Scott is it hot enough for you yet?

Nice looking rides my friend and great work as usual:xyxthumbs

Anthony

What heat? I grew up in Phoenix. Low 90s today, I was just fine. :xyxthumbs

My kids aren't as used to it though since where they live in Kentucky is about 10-12 degrees cooler.
