First off, I finally got some pics of the Shokar-ed SC430 in better light. It had been nearly 3 months since I applied it, but since the car is a major garage queen (maybe driving 300-400 miles since I went over it with Shokar) I don't consider this a durability test. QEW wash only prior to taking the pictures.

My 626, just a quickie!
I did a similar pic when the leaves were changing in the fall, so I did one for spring as well. Polishing steps were #80 with a green Propel Pad, Red Machine Glaze with a blue Propel Pad and Carnauba Moose x 2, #16 and Optimum Car Wax x 2. This was after washing and QDing with Quikshine.

2003 Chevy 2500HD
Polished out with #80 and topped with #16 in the late fall (November, I think). Still beading lightly but almost zero slickness. Being parked outside 24/7 and near a live oak isn't wax friendly. No polishing needed, just applied Poorboy's EX-P+. Should have a harsh durability test.
Note how with metallics that angle is everything! Head on really shows the metallic off!
i cant get over your reflectivity on your car. is that black? is it possible to get anywhere close to as good as yours? I know it takes skill but dayum...
2002 Honda Civic. Regular customer, I go out every 6-8 weeks and wash one and wax the other (he also has a 2000 DTS). It was the Honda's turn this time. Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze with a blue Propel Pad, Finish Kare's Pink Wax by hand. Only one shot left, so only one pic.

2001 BMW 325ci. Customer is at an office that pays for a one step exterior detail for the person who is employee of the month. This guy wins a lot! I had applied Long Haul's Polish/Wax using a polishing pad back on February 21st and took this pic immediately after a QEW wash on April 5th. Looked great, had decent slickness and was beading like crazy still. Best true OTC cleaner/wax I have in my arsenal.
The car didn't really need any polishing, so I just applied a coat of Poorboy's EX w/carnauba by hand. The sun was a little brighter in this pic so it isn't a true comparison. EX added a little depth, otherwise appearance was about the same.

2003 Lexus GX470. Another employee of the month winner. Honestly, it needed more than a one step but the owner just wanted what she won. I used Long Haul's Polish/Wax with a polishing pad. It did a decent job but there were some scuffs and spider swirls it was only able to minimize/fill. Still, it looked a lot better when I finished.
I normally would have used S100's Total Cycle Cleaner but the owners were moving their furniture into the house that day and I couldn't have a hose in the way. QEW wash instead.
I used Red Machine Glaze by hand, EX-P+ by hand (waited a full hour before removing) and topped with Pinnacle Paste Glaze. Vanilla Moose on all the chrome.
The silver bike kind of washed out a bit in the sun but you can see the shine on the tank close-up.

Yes, black paint. I probably have 25 hours of polishing into my car since November '03. I have a direct comparison (well, as close as I could get for the pics being taken 15 months apart) in my Autopia gallery.
It is all about finding the right combination applied the proper way to get the look you want.
No shade, so that is where Poorboy's products come in handy. Long Haul's Polish/Wax seems to work well on warm, sunny days (the warmest I've used it in the sun is the mid 70's).
Nice work Scott...as always...I am running out of words to describe your work . I'm gonna just start doing the round of applause to my computer screen .
Sure, why not! I like it. Very fast product to use, seems to have decent durability too. Slickness improves an hour or so after application.
I like to upsell the application of OCW at about the 6 week point after waxing/details. I do have it on an SC430 as a stand alone LSP so I will monitor how well it does.
