Latest details v.first cyclo pics plus a really nasty interior

Nasty interior first. Late 90's Chevy Cadaver....I mean, Cavalier. Driven by one of the ladies at an office I clean a few cars at each week. She warned me it was bad in advance and normally, knowing there is no way it will ever look that great, I would turn it down. However, this office gives me some nice business each week so I told her I would do what I could.



This is what I started with:

After vacuuming:

This is after spending more than 2 hours cleaning the interior using Woolite/water and Magnum Upholstry Shampoo. As you can see, there was a major improvement, but there were some stains that just wouldn't come out. Obviously, nothing can be done about those white bleach spots either.

What is your leather cleaner and conditoner? I have been using Meg's cleaner/conditioner and not too impressed

2004 Rolls Royce Phantom. I had waxed it with NXT and a polishing pad on Thursday, he drove it in the rain over the weekend and it was a mess. He also use a wheel brush to get some bird dookie off the rear fender, which the cyclo with the green polishing pads and #80 did a great job on. No before and afters, I just had one pic left and wanted a whole car shot. Anyway, I washed it, polished the fender, went back over that area with NXT and used #16 over the whole car, making this an NXT/#16 combo.

Well, I'm glad the Cyclo/#80 fixed things, but I also hope you (diplomatically) educated him about using that brush on the paint :rolleyes:
 
My own car. No before pics, it actually looked very good. Minimal spider swirls that you had to really look to see. Clouds rolled in before I finished anyway so the comparison wouldn't have been good anyway.



I used the two new products Anthony Orosco sent me to try. Optimum Polish and Optimum Car Wax. The Polish is an SMR and does a pretty good job. Nice, clear almost glassy look. The Wax is super thin, sort of like Glaz Wax except you apply and remove it just like a QD. Very slick product, nice beads. In addition, it rained on Sunday night; I even drove to the store and back and this morning, my neighbor asked if I got up early to wash my car....other than some minor splashing around the wheel well openings, my car was practically spotless! Very impressive!



Optimum Polish using a Cyclo dual head polisher with the green polishing pads, 3Ms Perfect-it III Glaze using a Cyclo dual head polisher with the green polishing pads, and Optimum Car Wax by hand.

I'll have to do it later. As I was finishing up, he came out and said he just found out his lead attorney's 17-year-old son ODed last night. :(
 
wheel brush on the fend of his Rolls????:shocked Why must he do this:nixweiss good thing you were there to fix it up for him. the cars look great! keep it up!

The first few interior pictures definitely prove how some people can be PIGS when it comes to their cars. It almost makes me want to throw-up thinking how some people can drive around in such filth!

I use a 6:1 to 10:1 ratio of water to Woolite to clean the leather and dress it with (get ready for a shock!) Turtle Wax leather cleaner and conditioner. It is a very liquid product so it won't clog holes in ventilated seats, leaves a very light sheen and mild leathery scent.
 
Man, I really wish I had some pictures of the car I did today. It came off of a reserve, and the carpets were supposed to be gray, but they were brown. I had 2 11 gallon shopvac's full of gravel and glass.



The rear seats were covered in grease. I couldn't do much but vacuum, and scrubed everything down.



Looked better, but never coming clean.

Wow, I guess he had more important things on his mind than the paint on one of his cars; that's too bad :(

I think you should have used gasoline and a match instead of Woolite and Water...

What made you sicker...the Cavalier or the guy taking a wheel brush to his Rolls?
 
I bought a gallon of the Optimum Wax. It's okay.. like Scott said, it's QD-ish but supposedly leaves a better finish. The upside is that it's easy to work with. Far as durability, I guess we'll see. I put it over top of Collinite. I thought the Collinite alone was slicker.

Rolls looks great as usual....Seems like sharper reflections than the EX-P/Souveran combo.



Time will tell on your 626, but the look is great now :)
 
Sean-after using the PwC/Natty's combo on that '36 Studebaker, I was just itching to try it on a pearl paint job and the Lexus didn't disappoint, it really glowed!



As far as the Rolls goes, NXT seems to give black almost like a wet hard candy look (about the best I can describe how it looks to me) and #16 barely mutes the sharpness but adds noticable depth.



I don't know if with the sample of Optimum Car Wax I have I'll know how durable it is because I am going to use what is left on my car and then top it with #16. I may order some to use as an 'inbetween wax' wax. Sort of like a QD on durability steriods.
 
Unbelieveable as always! Your Mazda just keeps getting better and better; I suppose it will eventually dissappear in the darkness abyss. I also like the way you experiment and discover products like the Turtle Wax leather cleaner and conditioner. Thanks for all the helpful tips in my feeble attempt to learn this art.
