Okay, I'll give you the Motor Coach first. I had polished it early in the month with Long Haul's Polish/Wax using my PC and a Meguiars polishing pad. The owner took it on a trip, then had it washed at a truck wash. He told me (and I will clean up his colorful language as much as possible) the guy at the wash said "

your bus has a great wax job!" :)

I just had to touch it up (wheels, glass, mirrors) and then he wanted me to take a few pics since he is thinking of selling it.

2000 BMW 323. Pretty decent shape, just the typical spider swirls. Meguiars #80 was gumming up a bit on the hot to the touch paint, so I switched to Poorboy's SSR2.5 using a Meguiars polishing pad and topped it with Meguiars NXT Tech Wax using a blue Propel Finishing pad. BTW, notice the reflection off my trunk lid behind the BMW. ;)

And yes, that is a 1970 Mach 1 in the garage you see in the 3rd pic. No, I haven't detailed it yet. He is waiting until he has the engine back in. :(

I commend your bravery on tackling that land yacht of a motor coach. That thing is massive! Nice comment by the guy at the truck wash. The bimmer looks great, too. You mentioned the Propel pads and that reminded me that I still need to order some to try out.

2004 Honda Pilot. Regular customers but they moved to Colorado about a year ago. Missed their daughter and other family and moved back a couple weeks ago. Nice to know I was on their short list of people to call. ;)

Pretty decent shape, they actually take care of their cars. Polished with Klasse AIO and a Meguiars polishing pad and finished with Poorboy's EX-P+ Sealant. The new version of EX-P is whiter, thinner and noticably easier to use.

2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Regular customer, but it was time for its first deep polishing. Poorboy's SSR2.5 with a yellow Propel Cutting Pad, Meguiars #80 with a green Lite Cut Propel pad, Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze with a Meguiars polishing pad and topped it with #16 by hand. It was too dark when I finished that evening (it was 10:30PM!) but it had only been driven a couple times. QEW wash, Armor All on the tires and fenderwells and Quikshine QD prior to taking the pics.

2004 Lexus SC430. It had been in the bodyshop for nearly two weeks having the rear bumper and right taillight replaced, the trunk lid massaged and the bumper and trunk lid repainted, complete with overspray all over the rest of the car. In addition, the body shop managed to put 650 miles on the car as well. Obviously, he didn't want them to touch it again, so he had me clean it up.

QEW wash and clay at the same time (adding some Long Haul Truck Gloss QD to the bucket for added lubrication). Amazingly, there weren't any rotary swirls on the car, so I polished it out with Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze and a blue Propel finishing pad then waxed with Optimum Car Wax, which I have been assured is new paint safe. Really wet combo! I just may use this one pretty often on paint in excellent condition.

Even when I am just washing cars, I have to earn my money. No one has anything small anymore. :(

RMG and #16 on the Rolls last time I detailed it, Optimum Car Wax on the 745.

AIO and #16 on the Expidition, Race Glaze Polish/Sealant on the Silverado SS (still beading very nicely after 3 months!). I don't clean the van.

WOW....Very nice cars and very nice details. I bet if you had a penny for everyone that has said that you would be one RICH man! :) Texas must have some rich folks down there. That or the cost of living is really low. Here in northern Virginia, making 100,000g's a year is "getting by" Not to mention the fact that the average townhouse goes for about 400,000g's for a 2-3 bedroom without garage. Rent a one bedroom apartment and its about 1200 a month for something decent. I need to move to Texas :( I wish i could detail some cars high end, then I would hopefully get paid for what I deserve instead of my slave labor rate to do co-workers cars

BEAUTIFUL work Scott!!! :xyxthumbs That Porsche gets my nod for "Best of Show" in this thread. ;)

I'd like to concur-ify this statement.

I love those wheels.

Scott- any idea what a coach like that would sell for used? I think you posted what he paid for it new sometime ago.

What does a strip club owner do with a warehouse?

So he has an indoor place to keep the bus. They also have a few trucks they keep in there they use for deliveries and such. He also used to have a 40' cigarette boat (two blown big block Chevy's).

How long did it take you to do the coach, and if you don't mind what would you charge for a wash and wax of something that size?

It had already been washed a few days earlier but it took me a good 7-8 hours to polish the bug guts off the front then one step it, dress the tires and clean the glass. $250 or $275 (I'm fixin' to hit the hay so I'm not checking for sure ;) ), gave him a little break on the price since I am the one who suggested it in the first place and he gave me something to do on a rainy day. If I had to wash it, I would have charged $450 and probably $650-750 for a true 2 step. He is always tossing me a little extra each time I clean his vehicles anyway.

MongooseGA-it was around $1.5 mil new, not sure what they go for used. This is the 6th coach he has had since I started cleaning his cars in January 1994. He is around 67-68 now, not sure if he is going to get another one or not. :nixweiss

Just Mighty details Scott, what always impresses me is the sheer volume of work you do and yet you manage to keep the quality so high.

I thought that the BMW came up really well, I also noticed that you went from #80 to SSr2.5, I have always thought that 2.5 would be more equivalent to DACP ? Megs products not much use in the hot sun then ?
