I work with his son at the country club where I valet. He told me that his dad had all kinds of cars and stuff and took me to see them. I helped him detail his car and his dad saw the kind of work that I do and had me detail all his cars starting with his wifes BMW 330i. It's not what ya know, it's who you know :xyxthumbs Yes, I'm thrilled that he chose me. He's awesome. Always throws in more than the quoted price and we sit around and talk cars while I work or after I'm done.

lol... why the hell is his son valeting cars... he doesnt need a job... :nono

Wow! Great job on all of them! Must be nice working indoors on such incredible cars. I was freezing my $@% off this morning detailing a Chevy Silverado (although I did have a Jaguar S Type this afternoon). Lucky guy!

I agree, #80/AIO + carnauba really looks good. EX-P and Natty's look great on yellow, I'll have to remember that combo. ;) Aren't all those louvers fun to clean on the 348s?

 Oh yes he does need to work. It will make the kid appreciate what he has a lot more if he has to put in some effort once in a while.

You were kidding, right?

Thanks. Yes, very lucky. It's around 26º with the wind chill and working inside was great! He said I could come and wash my car there whenever as long as I gave him the heads up. Great guy!

Yes, the louvers were tons of fun! Luckily he keeps his cars pretty clean so it didn't take me long to clean them up at all. Waxing took a bit longer.

He works because he has too. His parents only pay for school, the rest is up to him. His dad bought his car, nothing special just an OZ Lancer, for his graduation gift. Austin still has to pay for insurance and anything else that he wants.

He isn't bitter about it at all and I'm not either. My parents have money and I still pay for everything. It's taught me a lot of responsibility.

Vernon

that's crazy!

Just go to a high end dealership and tell them that you'll do one for free.

PS: AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT SEES NO PICTURES AT ALL?

Got that right. I cranked up the heaters when I started and the garage warmed up nicely but it was still probably around 55ish or so.

Yea I put the camera on my rolling stool and set the timer.

... I'll be riding with him come spring. Hard to find a client, especially a wealthy one, that wants to hang out with their detailer. lol
The guy's obviously a real gearhead. When it's all about the machines, not the money, you hang with others that appreciate the machinery. I'll bet he enjoys cruising with you better than hanging with 99.99% of the country club crowd.
