Latest details v.Collinte and a couple other combos

So would you call it a glaze? Would you apply with a white or an orange pad?

#80 is a polish. I have no idea why Meguiars calls it a glaze because it is more aggressive. It has a little more bite than Meguiars #82 Swirl Free Polish.

I don't know what pads you use but a Meguiars polishing or Propel Lite-Cut pad works well.

I think it's the other way around this time. Collinite has been getting a lot of attention lately and I think Scott wants to see for himself what all the talk is about.

The Collinite product that Scott is using is called 470 Fleetwax. This is not the Collinite that many have been raving about (including myself). This is a liquid cleaner wax. 476s paste and 845 liquid Insulator Wax are the Collinite products that most are using.

I would really like to get hold of some of the 470 cleaner wax and try it out. I use one step cleaner waxes for engine compartment, door jambs, and trunk jambs. If 470 cleans well and has the typical Collinite durability it would be perfect for me.

I just got the Insulator Wax and placed it on my already Mothers CCWPed wheels. Plenty of protection now :D

I saw they have a Metal Wax. I looked up any mention of it hear and understand it's a sort of cleaner-wax ( sealant really?) for metal. Sounds like something to use on my mufflers and exhuast if I wish to conserve Klasse. I'd like to hear about any expereinces with this Collinite product as well.

Nice work! That m3 is beauutiful. I know that you didnt polish this Mercedes this time, but do you remember how you polished the lower panels and the bumpers? My dad has this car in black and i don't know what to do with the bumpers and lower panels.

That has been my wheel combo all winter. No complaints. :woot:

Thank you Steve :2thumbs: I'm sure I'm going to find this combo great!! IW goes on and off in a breeze! Great gloss on wheels too!

Nice Bill! I've been screaming here how awesome IW wax is especially on wheels. When you hose them off, even after a month, the water beads tight on them! It looks great.

I need to use rubber gloves when I apply. I don't like it's chemical smell. It's a bear to fully get out of applicators. It ruined my Viking handi-grip applicator.

Not too certain about the Metal Wax although I'm sure it would be great for underbodys given how well the other Collinite products perform.

Sorry to hijack the thread :o
