Now on to the Escalades. I thought both were pearl but I think the one with #16 is diamond white, which is a more white looking pearl.

Unless Cadillac changed the color designation this white is 8624 - Olympic white. Next time you detail this vehicle look in glovebox

That is the color of my 2000 Escalade. Great color for a daily driver. :xyxthumbs

As usual great work.

Interesting that the Cyclo/green/#80 works so well on those paints. It didn't really remove the light marring on Accumulatorette's A8 (made it better, but still...) so I'm still waiting for your first work on an Audi :D

Audi uses Spies-Hecker paints, right? When I had the front end of my Accord fixed, that is what the body shop used and it is definitely some hard paint. Even after 5 years, I hardly had any chips and removing spider swirls was a real bear.

Both of the Escalades were in excellent shape, so no need to get aggressive.

1 Clean WS6-the main function of the Yellow Wax is to add wetness and depth. It can be used as a stand alone LSP but Everett says you get better protection topping it with CMW. He is going to be at a car show this weekend in Fort Worth, if my schedule allows, I am going to try and meet up with him and see what else I can find out. He was headed into a dentist appointment when I called so the conversation was brief. He did ask me to try it as a final glaze with other LSPs to see how well it works with them.

I used it today on a white Civic I regularly wax (3-4 times a year) and the combo of YW and CMW looked very glossy and wet, even on white paint. Very slick too, seemed nearly as slick as a 5 day old application of UPP on my car.

Sean-I took that picture with my website in mind! I want people to know where the extra money they spend with a detailer goes, the things we do that others don't.

Edwin-okay, gotcha! I have a customer with a similarly white pearl DTS and he said the color was diamond white. Very nice color as you noted.

Great work!!:bow

Scott: when you dress the wells with Armorall do you just spray and leave it or do you wipe it in?

Could you share your technique? (I'm having trouble trying to figure out what to do with my fender wells.)

I just spray it in, and use a foam tire swipe to get the edges close to the paint. I do the tires and fenderwells before polishing and waxing so I don't get any overspray on the freshly waxed paint.

I stand corrected Scott. From your pictures and lighting the Diamond white appears the same as the Olympic white. The new (Diamond) white is more of a off-white and is metallic (pearlescent). The Olympic white is very very very white and non-metallic. Cadillac Escalade line does not offer the more subtle non-metallic white any longer. :(

Needless to say both are very easy to maintain. :xyxthumbs

I imagine they are....if this stupid rain would stop.

It has rained/misted/fog every day since Saturday and Thursday is the first possibility of drier weather. I hate Novembers. Seems like every year, we have a nearly full week stretch at least once during the month where some stupid low pressure system stalls like this. We sure don't need any more rain this entire year. We are something like 15" over normal right now. :(
