First, a couple more shots of the Rolls with NXT topped with #16.

A couple shots of my car, using 1Z Glanz Wax and topped with UPP. Very wet, glossy and reflective, just not quite as deep as #16 or especially Souveran. Unbeliebably slick though!

I got a couple of new Clearkote products to test, an as yet un-named compound and Yellow Wax (not sure if that will be the final name).

I had a regular's 2003 BMW 745Li to detail the exterior of. He had parked near some sprinklers and had hard water spots on the front of the hood, plus several scratches from his wife setting boxes on it. DACP and the cyclo were making slow progress and I was getting some very light hazing. I switched to the CK compound and it really did a good job on the water spots and greatly lessened the appearance of the scratches (some were quite deep). It also finished out nearly as nice as #80 does and was very slick, suprising for something without any protective qualities. I then went over the whole car with #80, the Cyclo w/polishing pads. The CK Yellow Wax is more intended as a final glaze than a last step product, although it does have protective qualities. It is to add depth and wetness to the finish. I applied it with the PC and a finishing pad-used maybe half an ounce of product. It leaves the paint similarly wet like #7 or #81 does but instead of squeakly clean, it is super slick, similar to VM. I then applied Carnauba Moose over it (as instructed) and CMW somewhat deepened the finish and the overall appearance is very wet and deep. I got 4 pics of the car, but 3 of them are on my new roll of film. ;) Anyway, both product show promise but I want to test them more before writing a formal review.

Now on to a Lexus LX470. Regular customers but they beat the he!! out of it. Still beading nicely after #80/PwC/16 in late June but new scratches, etc.

This is a before shot of the front fender:

And this is after about a minute or so with the Cyclo, #80 and polishing pads:

Whole vehicle shots:

Now on to the Escalades. I thought both were pearl but I think the one with #16 is diamond white, which is a more white looking pearl. In addition the lighting is not the same so it is hard to make a direct comparison appearance-wise. I am really more focused on durability in this head to head match-up.

Both vehicles prepped with #80 and the cyclo with polishing pads.

#16-

Fenderwells and wheels cleaned with QEW (I maintain them weekly so they never get real dirty), tires and fenderwell dressed with Armor All.

Great job...great depth and crispness, man I am starting to think I need to move to TX if things don't pick up in TN.

You used UPP as a topper on your car Scott? I thought it was meant to be a sealant.

I have UPP on my car now, and I was planning to add another layer, then #16. Is this not the proper way to do it?

All I can say is "Oh my God!". I love to see your details Scott. It gives me something to strive towards knowing I will never get there.

I didn't use it as a topper like you would a carnauba. Glanz Wax has a very wet look but UPP is even wetter and slicker. I'm out of AIO, so I figured that since GW has some solvent content, it would remove some of the built up #16 and leave a surface that UPP would adhere to. I don't know if I am going to top it with #16 again until I put another layer or two of UPP on my car. That stuff is amazingly slick!

all vehicles looking amazing! those escalades are looking AWESOME! well i'll be honest... they ALL look awesome:). i really need to pick up some 16 and give it a shot. keep up the awesome work!

Interesting that the Cyclo/green/#80 works so well on those paints. It didn't really remove the light marring on Accumulatorette's A8 (made it better, but still...) so I'm still waiting for your first work on an Audi :D

Beautiful work Scott!! :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

So where does this new ClearKote (the yellow wax) fall in their line up? Is it like VM but with more protection?

I'm lovin the wheel well shot on the Escalade...That pic should be on your site

Absolutely !!!!!!

Beautiful work as always Scott. I just got some 1Z and #16. I can't wait to give them a try.
