2003 Mercury Mountaineer. 1Z MP using a polishing pad and GW by hand. Real fast combo, looks great on metallics because GW is so clear and shiny! Turned out really good, given the horrible orange peel on this particular SUV.

2004 Nissan Titan. First Titan I have detailed. Very nice truck! Beautiful paint on this one too, minimal orange peel and good gloss. Just a QEW wash and 1Z GW by hand. Dealer had already done an ABC wash (I told my customer to request one). I did have to polish out a minor rotary swirl on the front fender using Optimum Polish, otherwise no other prep. Glanz Wax noticably improved the gloss and wetness of the new paint.

how are u liking the 1z glanz wax? isnt it supposed to be somewhat of a sealant, and is really liquidy? almost like water? just curious.. ive tried every 1z product out there except that one

I took pictures of my brother's Odyssey with both his camera (Cannon Rebel EOS) and my Nikon N60 (Kodak Hi Def film) from the same angle, etc. His pics came out a lot darker than mine, he later found out his camera's exposure was set on 'action' and that is why they came out dark. I set mine the same way since it stops it down and I get better depth of field. Oh well. These pics came out with the proper lighting.

AIO with a polishing pad, ZFX'ed Z2 x 3.

Glanz Wax is absolutely the easiest sealant I have ever used. Apply a section at a time, it hazed almost instantly and wipe off. Apply, remove, only one trip around the vehicle.

Yes, it is watery, best to put it in a small spray bottle and spritz it onto a foam hand pad.

I wash the Titan every 2 weeks and it is parked outside in the daytime right off the freeway. Should be a good durability test. The owners of the Mountaineer are moving to Colorado in January. I hate to see them go, I've been detailing their cars for about 9 years now.

the paint on the titan looks really wet... nice! can u layer the 1z?

:nixweiss I think it hazes quickly because it does have some solvent carriers but don't quote me on that. It does have a good reputation for durability.

I agree Scott, Glanz is extremely easy to use, especially since it's thinner than water.

NavindraLR - you can't layer Glanz. It's loaded with solvents, and each application will remove the previous one.

Just like Matt said, you can't layer GW but you don't really need to. One application lasts a minimum of three months for me and application is so easy, when you start to see it wearing a little bit just throw on a fresh coat. I like to use GW mostly on metallics, that's when it really shines. It's a lot like SG but more use friendly, IMO.

well since u guys say its like water, do u think you could apply it almost as if it were quick detailer (obviously when the car is in a CLEAN state... i just mean the same method as quick detailing)? cause that seems pretty tempting in my eyes, as it will save time after i wash the car, instead of using a microfiber pad with some other product...

I guess you can look at it like qd, but you still have to let it haze over completely which usually doesn't take too long at all. Basically, all you are doing is spreading it around, letting it haze, and then removing it.

i think im gonna have to give it a try now... but back to the point of the forum.. the expedition looks good especially for white... i hate doing white cars.. can never see where the product hazes over...

...and having been 10 weeks since I had applied #16 and a ton of rain in November. I am amazed how well not only how well the beading is holding up (I expect that from 16) but also how well the appearance and slickness have held up.

Beautiful work Scott....:up

How does the Glanz Wax compare to UPP on metallics...

I just got some Glanz Wax and am dying to try it out...

Pat-GW has a clearer look to me than UPP, so it should be better. I think you will really like GW, real sleeper of an LSP.

Just joined the forum and would like to show a couple of pics of my F-150. This detailing stuff is completly new to me but using Zaino Z2 and following the directions gave me good 1st time results. You guys be the judge!
