Latest Detail v. Liquid Red

Just finished up the other caddy. A full exterior and quick interior wipe down. Its a 2004, but already has close to 64,000 km on it! Paint was in pretty hazy condition, but in relative decent shape. I actually enjoyed working on this one, and that doesn't come around very often. It was only supposed to be a wash and wax, but due to his large tip yesterday, I thought I'd be nice and return the favour.

This car turned out the best a car has ever turned out for me. Its something else in person, it looks totally different than in the photos. :)

Exterior processes:

Wash

Clay

Remove some road paint

Polish lower section with SSR2.5, as well as the hood on polishing pad.

Rest of the car got SSR 2 on polishing pad times two.

SSR1 on whole car

Topped with something you won't believe....Mother's Pure Carnuba!

Trim got some NoTouch dressing

Before: (Sorry, I don't have any of the swirls before, I kinda decided to do swirl removal later on)

Once again, this just proves how expensive toppers don't always make a difference. Can you guess which side has Souverian on it? I didn't think so. ;)

That color is called Red Line, it's a tri-coat (pearl), and costs about a grand extra.

Its definatly worth it once its prepped and sealed. :)

Oh, update, he picked it up, and gave me anouther hefty tip. :D

holy reds, scuba! :LOLOL wow, that is one purdy caddy. the red came out really nice. and i'm gonna guess the passenger side.

Excellent job, the car looks great. It must have been wonderful to watch that paint come to life.

Oh, if I were to guess. Mothers on driver side.

Well, judging from the fact that you have six pics of the passenger side and only three pics of the driver's side, I'm going to say that the Souveran is on the passenger side.

There is a guy over at g35 driver who is worried about buying a pre-owned red car because he's worried about care, and the fact that he thinks red can look "cheap". I think I am going to link this thread. That car looks fantastic.

my guess,,,, the souveran is the driver side. looks more clear.

oh yeah, great car and nice detail,,,( i wish i had your energy ((ssr2 x2 !!))).)))

I use MOTHERS pure carnauba all the time,,,i love the bubble gum smell and the price and availability....and a great look. pretty hard to beat actually....

I'm going to say that there is no way to really tell without seeing the car in person and even then, given the excellent prep the difference won't be very large.

Thats how it is. Souveran is on the drivers side believe it or not.

In person you can't even tell a different in depth or clarity. :grinno:

Maybe it just doesn't do it for red?

Thanks for the wonderful comments guys. :)
