Latest Acquisition: Meguiar's M101

If its VOC complaint, couldnt you just contact someone at Megs and get them to ship it to you? I dont understand why they wouldnt sell it to you if you requested it? Some kind of distribution agreement maybe?

I've talked to some people who are pretty tight with Meguiar's and even they seem to be having a tough time finding it.... so it's not that easy unfortunately.

Charles,
Got my M101 today, thank you so much!

Tom

Great! Glad to hear it got to you safely, Tom. It looks like Paul Sparks will be getting his today as well.

I've got my fingers crossed that today is the day!:D

Mike, USPS tracking says your box arrived at the post office in Huntersville, NC at 11:18 AM this morning. Whether it will be delivered to your door today or tomorrow I have no idea.

I won't know until I get home, my wife never tells me anything :wall

Richard, unfortunately USPS tracking on yours hasn't updated since yesterday morning when it left the sort facility in Lansing; so I can't say for sure if it's there yet or not.

Today or tomorrow is fine by me. I'm just glad you decided to do this for us. Thanks again Charlie!

Fortunately I was talked back into it, I just wish the vendor hadn't screwed up my original plans or there would have been a lot more of it to go around. :wall

I'm just glad I was able to get my hands on what I did! :yay

Sitting by the window watching it snow and waiting on the mailman. LOL. Thanks for what you have done Charlie. Any time I can return the favor , don't hesitate to ask.

I figured that was the case, just doesnt make since that it has to make a round trip to get back to folks that want to use it. Crazy!

I just got home today to find this:

Not here today Charlie, but I can't expect much from the postal system in my state. Maybe tomorrow.

Looks like you're the only one who didn't get theirs from USPS today; however the tracking now shows it processed through a sort facility in Charleston, WV at 3:52 PM today. I would imagine you'll have it tomorrow. :inspector:

dear meguiars,
i dipped my finger in some m101 last night, smelled it, used it & then was reminded of 3m super duty compound, the one that we used to say felt like it had grains of sand in it.
i wetsanded a small section using the cross hatch method by hand.
1,200, 1,500, 2,000 2,500 with a soft sanding block. 4" orange flat foam pad + dewalt dw849.
i also was playing on low rpm setting of 1,000 -1,400. m101 is pretty killer stuff! anything that can do what this does without the need for a higher rpm setting is a winner in my book. the 3m stuff was great but never, ever in a million years would finish down quite like m101. hologram city often that would need to be followed up by another compounding step & then a few rounds of polishing. m101 has to cut down at least 1 step. you might get great results by going straight to m205 but i would still suggest a third step, perhaps some 3m uf LOL (i cant let go of this stuff!)
i used a little bit of product & a lil spritz of water. i am very impressed. this should be a must have in the garage for doing the hard jobs, especially should be used to remove any wetsanding scratches. m101 does cut faster than 105 & it does actually finish down prety clear. that will vary from user & machine & techinque but i can get it pretty much hologram free if i really concentrate on what im doing.

this stuff really could make meguiarss alot of $ if they sold it here.
sell it to us baby!

megs please listen to us, we want m101 :rockon

m101, i will play with you some more today & tonight but what will i do when your gone?
