lasting fragrance in car

I've tried those air freshner's at Hallmark that are in the shape of a candle jar. Smell great and lasts pretty long. I usually use this commercial stuff I get from a local detail product manufacturer - Ardex. I currently have their "Baby Powder" spray....my customer's love it!:xyxthumbs

I've yet to see a car air freshener that I care for...I have been told that my cars always have that "new car" smell to them...People ask me why they smell that way, and I tell them "it's because of the products I use to keep the inside clean"... especially the Meguiar's stuff.

I'm with rusty, I can't find one that I like. Through good cleaning and periodic use of the arm and hammer overnight trick, my cars keep their new car smell for a long time.

I agree that the best smell is no smell at all, or the return of the real 'new car smell'.

I get that rsult consistently with liberal use of Valugard's Odor Terminator. In the extractor, spray everything else, including trunk and under all seats.

Works so well, Enterprise sends me their nastiest rental returns. Well, ok, that's nothing to brag about, but it keeps me busy...

Its as easy as leaving an open box of Baking Soda in the car overnight. Absorbs extraneous odors just like it does in a fridge.

Hey Jim, where can I get that? I used to use a similar product called "Odor Gun" but the places around here stopped selling it. Sounds like a similar deal, neutralized old odor without adding a masking scent.

I've been looking for a nice leather scented air freshener in a spray bottle. Anyone seen this product? (Btw, I know Zaino Z10 and the yankee candle card scents work, but looking for a spray)

I've never found any air freshener that claimed to smell like "new car" or "leather" actually smelling like either of those things...

Griot's makes one, it's pretty decent and reasonably priced. One shot under each front seat every two weeks gives a nice leathery smell.

Zaino's Leather in a bottle makes the car smell amazing.

I had my car for over 3 years....never used an air freshener...just soapy water to clean interior, and zaino's leather in a bottle.

My car still smells new

actually I've sprayed lemon fresh pledge onto a microfiber cloth and left it in the car for a few days with the windows up. It doesn't get overpowering but leaves a nice fresh scent.

I like to but a Bounce dryer sheet under the driver's seat. Leaves a nice fresh smell. I have also had good luck with Febreeze in my wife's car.
