Last winter pics for GSRstilez

Well, I ordered my new rims this morning and am heading home tomorrow night to put my body kit on. I have a car show to attend next weekend so I am excited for all of the above.

My car had a tough battle this winter; from a hit and run to a smashed in rear windshield, I have had my fair share of hardships. I am glad to say that Veronica (my teg's name) made it out victorious. I clean her up and she still shines brighter than any other in my campus parking lot.

When I clean her up for the show I have my fair share of scratches to fix and lower panels to clay. It will be an all day/weekend affair to get her in the shape I want, but I will be sure to keep the boards posted. So, over the winter, this is the product combo I've built up:

-Menzerna PO 85 RD Polish via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @ 1500rpm

-Klasse AIO by hand

-Zaino Z5 x 3 by hand

-Zaino Z2 x 3 by hand

-FK1 Pink Wax by hand

-Optimum Car Wax x 2 by hand

Enjoy :).

What rims did you decide on Sean?

Sorry about the pics, I have been seriously out of it these past few weeks.....

Might as well allow a sneak peek :).

Roja Formula 7's. Fully forged aluminum. These are the exact pics (but mine are 4 lugs):

I think they're a bit more crowd friendly as well, lol.

Joe: Don't worry about it. Whenever you get a chance is cool.

I know the wheels well Sean, they are awesome. I can't wait to see them on the car!!! Do you know who is making that particular wheel for RoJa? I know Motegi and volk have both been making wheels for them....

Joe: I believe Motegi is now. Regardless, I mainly bought them due to their forged construction. I need that strength with these TERRIBLE roads.

No doubt, the new Motegi line is awesome IMO. They have several new forged wheels in their line now.

Can't wait to see them on, when do you expect them?

Theyre being shipped from NY to CT either late today or early tomorrow. I'd be hopeful for the weekend, but it's looking more like Monday. Once I get em, I'm going to have to contain my excitement and polish with PO85RD then top with PB Wheel Sealant.

17's or 18's? are you going to do anything with the color? either way, they will look stunning on your teg. can't wait to see the kit back on.

Thats what I was thinking. I honestly loved the red wheels on your car and I was highly saddened that you let them go. They had so much character and fit perfect with your car. It really made it stand out that much more.

Ah, yes! I'm glad we'll finally get to the the 'Teg dressed up again. :D

Winter trim on cars is always depressing to me. It shows that detailing season hasn't yet begun.

Your car is still looking great, Sean! I like the new wheel choice too. Have you decided what your plan of attack will be to get your car in shape for the warmer weather?

BTW, how do you like Optimum Car Wax? I didn't even know you'd tried it yet. :nervous2:

14.5 lbs for a 17x7" rim...I can't complain.

I'm sticking with silver for now as I've never had silver rims on my car :). It should be fun to keep them clean. If I get tired, they will most likely go to red as no other color soothes me for summer trim.

I've had almost every other color though. The winter rims will go to bronze for next winter. As you can see, they are in dire need of a repaint.

JJ: I run an extension cord out of my 2nd story balcony. The only people to complain were the management once saying my vacuum was too loud. They left and I kept going :).

Scott: For the show, I will go Menzerna PO85RD, FTG, Trade Secret x 2-3 for an ultra deep and wet look. I'll strip it a couple weeks later and either go EX/TS or FMJ/Natty's x a lot.

I like Optimum. It's a flipping breeze to use and after a couple hours, it gets glossier and glossier. It literally takes 2-3 minutes to do my entire car, so why they hell not! Also, I use .25-.5 oz per application :). I like how it doesn't attract dust and produces large beads when saturated. This should be a great wax for weekly wash/waxes.

Thanks all, I just got word that the rims will be here friday...Seal em up on Friday night and saturday morning, then I will pop em on and take a sneak peak shot :D.
