Last minute Buick detail

One of my very good clients contacted me this week and asked if I could help him out on this 2002 Buick Regal. It was owned by his wife's mother who recently passed, and they are settling the estate. The car was to be sold and he just wanted something really simple done to it no clay or anything, basically just a wash and good interior cleaning since she smoked. I normally don't do jobs like that, but he's a good client with a beautiful 71 Cuda that I get to maintain, so I said sure!

I only had a couple hours notice for this car, but I think it came out ok. I couldn't just wash it though.. I had to do SOMETHING to it lol.

I just recently started using P21S 100%, and I have to say I like it. Zaino is still my go-to choice, but the P21S spreads nicely and comes off very nicely (miles better removal than NXT or #26). This car was low miles, but it was in ROUGH shape. Definately needed heavy compounding and polishing. However, since they were selling the car and just wanted something quick and dirty (so to speak), I figured a decent 'nuba would do an ok job of masking some of the defects to make it look presentable *note: I don't like 'hiding' defects, but this was supposed to be a basic wash only*. This wasn't a spectacular job, but you'd never know it by looking at my client's wife's face when it was done. She was pretty happy when I did more than what they asked for too. Definately good for customer relations :xyxthumbs

....mats still drying (dark areas are still sopping wet), but much better. Driver's mat still a little rough, it really just needed to be replaced.

Questions/comments welcome :)

Buick Regal.

It looks very decent for the effort put forth. How bad was the smoke odor in the car?

Nice job, especially in a compressed timeframe. I did a similar vehicle that was a neighbor's company car (she usually goes through auto carwashes and it was swirled), but she was allocated a stipend for bi-monthly details. We agreed on a price that was within her budget and settled on a 1 step detail. Still, I am like you and wanted to do more and she was impressed with the results.

I'm not sure what you are asking?

I'm sorry for the confusion. I just would like to know how much should I charge my friend for detailing his car and the step is the same as you did to this Buick.

Everyone's pricing is unique. There are lots of threads on that topic though, do a search on prices and you'll find some good answers. Good luck to ya.

Thanks... I do apologize if I did insult or asked the wrong question though... Great job indeed.
