Read his post, don't think he's going to stop detailing, only changing the name of the business...

Whoa guys, I'm not going anywhere!!!

I'll still be doing this thing, it just won't be under the name Tropical Detailing. Brian and I have been putting together some really cool prospects and have had some great offers. My company's name will change to reflect out views and Brian is a valuable asset in pushing my business in a new direction.

This year will be exciting, and as things plan out (and are falling together nicely) we will have many opportunities to share with the public the true "autopian" way of work. Brian and I are going to push detailing to a new level and shape our careers in this field in our own direction.

I feel like most on this forum share a special bond, we are OCD to the max. We are also a becon of freshness and truth regarding proper care and preservation of many cars that are cared for foolishly.

Its going to be a great year!

Thats why I wanted to thank many of the members here who have helped (directly or indirectly) open a new path in my life!

Thanks!!!

Man, I need to get a box of Kleenex to wipe the tears from my eyes that that statement brought.

red is the color to go. I hope you guys keep posting because I've learned a lot from your write-up. I have a question when you guys shampooed the carpets. Did you guys wet the carpet first, spray on the folex, agitate... what did you guys do after this? Pressure wash and then dry with the vac?

Todd,

Great job on that Porsche, but even more importantly is the great advise and car prep wisdom you give on each and every thread. I know you have tons of the coolest cars around, but I don't read your posts just to see sweet rides, I really enjoy learning from your depth of knowledge and keen sense of pride and thoroughness that I know we all wish to take our detailing too that level.

Great work, you have a bright future awaiting.

Josh

I was in an 84' 930 turbo about 3 months ago and the car was unbelievable! Its a bit sluggish off the line and all of the sudden that massive turbo kicks in and the car becomes a monster. Truly one of my favorite Porsches. Beautiful detail guys, the one I was in had won best in show at an East Hampton collector car meet and honestly the one you did looks 10x better in comparrison. The paint pops and it just came out awesome.
