First, a 2002 BMW 330i - worst 3 year old car I ever worked on. Spent 5 hours on the interior alone. 8 hours total (I know Sean could do it in 4 :D)

Note to others:

I started polishing with TOL's 6" orange pad and didn't have much luck removing swirls, so the car is not 100% swirl free. I switched to Properautocare's 7.5" orange pad and what do you know? It cuts much better

Last one - The owner's wife drives this beauty. Free detail since he gets me plenty details.

Car was in great shape

FK1 #185 Sealant glaze/pc/finishing pad (another excellent product)

I must ask - what was the reaction of the BMW owner ?

Ahhhhh..... he didn't say much - he was busy looking at the car :D - He liked it alot, but I had to finish up the silver BMW, so Gary (the owner) walked him around the car.

AWESOME WORK Thomas!

That Bimmer reminded me of the hellish doghair one I did.

All of them look exceptional. Looks like I have some playing to do with Fk1 :D.

Ah, the stories I could tell about interiors from he!!

Excellent job on all three! Love the red RX-8 but the Bimmers look terrific as well.

op=Optimum Polish? If so, how do you like it?

I hate how you pros use a PC with just something like 2.5 and then top it and it always ends up looking 68000 times better than my 70 step detail.

:(

AWESOME WORK!

(as always)

Thanks!

As I said this car was never washed so the paint underneath all the dirt looked very good, minus the scretches (guy lives in DC)

THanks everyone for the nice words.

Scottwax - I am sure you have lots of stories to tell. I don't envy you. Yes Optimum polish. I need to use it more and try the compound as well, but I like how you can use it in the sun and for a long time. I haven't used it with a yellow cutting pad yet. I'll experiment on my car if I ever have free time. ssr2.5 in hot weather on dark cars (for me at least) dusts like crazy sometimes even with the pc. :o :o :o :o

brwill2005 No I don't use a canopy, but because of my girlfriend I now put on suntan lotion so I don't get heat rashes anymore on my upper body after a long day out detailing. :D

PS: Brad - Can I call you now?

GSRstilez I remember that Sean. :hairpull

On non regular clients' car I try to use either #2180 or #1000 (paste) since both claim 12 months protection. FK1 is awesome stuff.

I'm also partial to the RX-8. Looks great.

I just don't understand how people leave trash in the car when they know they're having it detailed. I can understand if the exterior is dirty, but good lord, can't we at least take some of the trash out of the car. What happened to common courtesy?

very nice work as always, Thomas!

I used Optimum Polish on my recent wetsand job with a yellow cutting pad and it worked very nicely (until the velcro backing delaminated) :) I really need some Compound, tho.

Did that reston-area S2000 owner ever get in touch with you?

Keep up the great work!
