I live in South Boston, I cannot ever remember a water ban, it is just those smaller towns outside of the city.



Just use those big white 10 gallon buckets or whatever they are, 4 of those are MORE than enough to soap and rinse a tiny Acura.

WHAT?!?!?! Water restriction in NYC and NJ. Guess that Corolla and Z has to hold off for a while.



I jusy cleaned the interior of my parents 91 corolla, never been vacummed before but it was not clean nor very dirty. I pulled all the mats out, vacummed the inside, scrubbed the mats with Omni all purpose cleaner. Used the wet/dry vac on the mats, wow pulled up all this damp sludge from the mats. Then used some Vinylex in the inteior to restore the moisture and healthy look to the dash and vinyl areas.



Put everything back in place and my parents were impressed. It smelled clean and fresh.



The exterior may be a little dirty but the interior is spot less!



Have anyone ever tried washing their car during the wee hours of the morning, lets say between 3 and 4AM. I don't think anyone will find out.........

...that lived in a community where washing your car with any type of chemicals was not allowed (Home Owners Association sucks). His solution - he purchased one of those small sheds that was big enough for his car and to move around next to it (paid like $800 for it). He then ran a hose underground (took about three hoses) to the shed and would wash his car in the little shed. Nobody would see him doing it and the water ran out the back onto his lawn. Worked great until he got divorced and his ex wife turned him in....doh.

At my local watering place they sell office water cooler size jugs of water for about $3.75



if you can't outdoor wash, can you indoor wash instead?

I can't take it anymore. I am washing today. Wish me luck! I think I'll hide the car behind the Exploder so no one can see me washing it...

This was the next car on the list, I had a quick inspection while i was doing the Ferrari, and on first thought i saw the swirled up roof and the rest looked pretty good. Again Lambo's are hand painted and polished so lets see what we're dealing with.......

Ah there we go someones had some fun before me

Swirls, hollagrams what more do you want

First task the wheels

A quick rinse with the pressure washer to knock off any dirt

I sprayed the wheels with Sonax Full Effect a PH balanced cleaner which is great all types of wheel, brakes. This stuff works great

After a few minutes to brake down the dirt, i used various brushes to clean the wheels

Onto the foam bath a mixture of Dawn Soap and GG Citrus Wash to strip the wax

Let to Dwell to brake down the wax

The car was then washed with the two bucket method and 100% sheepskin wash mitt

Then the car was washed

Next it was pulled back inside to clay the car, with DoDo Juice Born Slippy and Detailed Image Fine Clay

After i clayed the car, i used the Metro Air Force Blaster to get all the water out the cracks

Taking care of some old compound

After the car was dried i began to tape the car up

All taped up ready to go

Ready to go, i brought out the Brinkmans Swirl Finder

Brought out the Surbuf M105 combo for the roof, This is a great combo for severe defects

Polished out with M205 on Lc Black Pad, Achieved a Perfect finish

M205 on Black Lc Pad is a great combo

Polished out a few sections to make sure i was getting the desired correction i was looking for

I used the Megs Microfiber system for the rest of the car, again this is a great system

Polished out

After the polishing was complete i pulled the car out to see the results. These are before wax

Brought the car back inside to apply Blackfire Wet Paint Sealant on Blue Lc Pad

After it cured i wiped it off

Brought it back outside for the final pics

Great job on the car. I do have a question, after you clayed the car it looked like you dried it and began polishing. Is that the process with the "born slippy" because I usually rinse/wash the car after clay and before polishing. Am I wasting my time? or is the born slippy a specal lube. I usually use a wash/water mix or ONR as lube.

Thanks for the post. In reference to thge above question, I also realize this Lambo was in much better condition than my car when I do clay it!
