Lake Country's System 2000 Pad Washer

I did a search and found only one post on it from last year. Is anyone using this pad cleaning system? I first saw it on the Lake Country web site, they recommend using this or the washing machine to clean their pads. Looks like a great way to clean and prolong rotary pads. I noticed Autogeek sells them.
 
I wash the Lake Country pads every weekend. I've been using the same ones all summer and they still work and look fine.
 
No velcro on my EDGE2K pads to come off.......ever.

No backplate to detonate on the vehicle's finish either.
 
My LC pads (yes has velcro) and MF go into my whirpool DUET 9400 and get 40 minutes with a spin at 1200 rpms and come out it a "happy ending". LOL



Same with my MG wash mit and WW for ONR only.
 
I've been using the Lake Country System 2000 pad washer forever. The one I have has lasted over 10 years now and I love it. Doesn't prolong the pad life, but certainly helps in terms of being able to clean and dry pads quickly between panels or whenever needed. I've even used it with wool and I do find that it keeps the wool soft and gets compound out better than a spur. I highly recommend it.

I have never owned one but if I did a higher volume of cars I sure would. A buddy of mine that used to run a dealer detail shop had one and it was a great tool. Especially good for the highspeed pads.

Thanks for your input on this. I don't have a high volume of cars but I like the simplicity of the system, and much quicker than the washing machine. How dry are the pads after cleaning them?
 
Sorry, but I haven't been on in a little. The pads are too wet to go straight to the car. I usually run the wheel on my pant leg to dry the pad a bit more (how damp you want it is up to you - a damp pad stays cooler too). All of my pants have holes in the right leg because of this. Watch it if you wear an apron. I've gotten wrapped up a few times.

Me too. Mine is atleast 8 years old and still works great. I put a mix of clay lube (Auto Magic Body Shine) and water and it is awsome. Nice invention. A must have for any rotary user. I think it's much more effective than regular cleaning methods others use.



***MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHANGE TO WATER REGULARLY OR IT STINKS REALLY BAD!!!***
 
Thanks for all the responses, I'm definitely going to get one. I tried machine washing with simple green and liquid detergent but it wasn't that great, hand washing works better for me.
