Klasse, Werkstat,etc comparisons?

Changeling

My original/still intention was to use Klasse twins AIO/SG for the protection aspect of my details but so many people seem to go this way or that on this type of product area that I thought I would post a question concerning the longevity of these various area specific/brand formulations. In short has anyone did a real study of these acrylic products to see if there is really advantages to one over the other ?

I mean, Collinite 476s will protect your vehicle according to the detailers on this web site rather well for several months and has the ability to "stack" layers of different wax's the same as Klasse, Werkstatt, etc. I realize there might be some slight differences in appearance between the acrylic products, but just how much, and wherein lies the truth?

Changeling

I've used both Klasse and Werkstatt. My experience was that AIO/SG gave me around 6 months durability-single application of SG, no layering. Werkstatt's Prime/AJ gives me around 7-8 months durability, is easier to use and looks better, especially on black paint. SG (and also P21S/S100) give a silvery sheen to solid black paint when viewed at an angle. AJ doesn't do that, so black paint, viewed at an angle, looks blacker than it does with SG.

I hate to waste product, but my half full quart of AIO sits in my laundry room while Prime gets regular use.

Wow. I was going to get the Acrylic spray and use my AIO next time and the acrylic spray instead of SG or maybe even SG and hit the Acrylic spray once a month as a boost. Now I may splurge for the prime too.

Alot of people speak of the versatility of AIO. Is prime just as versatile? (Trim, windows, etc.)

Also, one you top SG with carnuba, I'm told you have to strip the wax and start over to apply more SG. This is still true of topping Acrylic spray correct?

Prime is just as versatile, wouldn't reccomend it for plastic trim though, and I wouldn't top an acrylic like AJT with a carnauba...most people here leave it be.

here are some quotes from there site:

"Pure ACRYLIC polymer paint sealant creates an exceptional wet gloss coating that easily layers over itself or JEFFS Prime. "

"Application is a breeze. Trigger will not stain trim, works in a broad range of temperatures, and can be applied with nothing more than a quality microfiber towel. It won't build-up residue in seams and crevices and can be used on most any hard exterior vehicle surface. "

Prime works fine on plastic trim - it's extremely similar to AIO (both are made by Carlack, my understanding is that Prime is just newer technology vs AIO).

I also like topping both AJ and SG myself, on darker colors at least.

As far as the differences between the two, AJ is definitely easier to use than SG, although SG isn't bad once you get the hang of it (putting it into a mister bottle helps). I actually like the look of SG better than AJ on lighter colors, but I prefer AJ on darks.

Prime is made at Jeffs Werkstatt..CarLack formulations were used and modified by JW.

AJT is great on trim. I use it all the time

I've used aquawax on top of several coats of AJT after every wash and even during drying and the finish is insane

Nothing. Seriously.

What about topping Klasse SG with on a light car(space gray - check avatar)

Any pro's advice is welcome here. This is my first use with a sealant. I was thinking of souveran(PC demonstration video), but I'm told different toppers look better with different colors. I'd love to hear what people that do this for a living(or at least on a variety of different cars and with different products) use.

I'm most likely sticking with AIO/SG since I already have it. Mainly looking for a nuba topper for the SG that works best with a light car(My avatar is a pretty good idea of the car's real life appearance)

Thanks
